Vista Double Log On

Hello,
I searched the technical assistance forums but couldn't locate a thread on this, and seems like the knowlege base is down right now too, so I thought I would post for an answer here.

I use Vista Ultimate and will have to log in to DDO two times before it will actually connect. The first time it will go through the launcher and then a black screen, there will be a pop up message in the lower right of the screen about the screen resolution and then back to desk top. The second time goes into the game.

Is there a fix for this? My version of the game is a digital download upgraded from the trial to a paid subscription.

I get this, several people get this, I do not know of a fix for it except to alt-enter before quitting DDO so you're in windowed mode, and then next time you load you'll start in windowed mode, and then you can alt-ENTER back again... it seems to always load fine first time in windowed mode
