If I make a monk/ranger (fighter, barbarian, any class proficient with all martial weaps) and used the monk abilities like shocking burst taht does 1d6 shock damage (I think am probably wrong) would it stack on my martial weapon?

If the Dev's implement some of the Eberron monk feats (like Whirling Steel Strike) then it's likely that you could use long swords as weapons and remain centered. There's a couple of others as well. There's also the possibility the dev's could add some sort of ki weapon feat that would let you use something other than handwraps or a kama or a q.staff.

I think Kurki's exotic look make it look monk-ish, also no other class is proficient with it and have to take a feat for it and im sure not much player's do.
Thinking maybe turbine could use exotic weaps for the monk. not like the bastard sword but the Kurki, the Khopesh and other weaps.

Sickle, Bo Staff, Spears, KukRi, Sai, Nun-Chuka, short and long Curved Swords are all part of the Monk weaponry in real life. Why Turbine gimps on the steel weaponry over the weak unarmed fighting is beyond me.
If you go totally unarmed, the monk needs throw down moves besides 'trip' (oops did uhms fall?). Add in at lower levels, a sweeping Trip, a Knock-back or Toss target for starters. Then run the gamut of Martial moves if you want to play pure Monk.

Monk weaponry in real life? What are you talking about?
The kukri is a Nepalese weapon, so maybe you mean "Buddhist monks in real life." But then I'm not sure what kind of weaponry this sort of real-life monk used.
I sit corrected. Should have clarified that with Generic Monks, not a specific sect. Thank you for keeping me honest.
Both the Kukri (otherwise called the Ghurka), and the Kris are steeped in Spiritual and Martial lore...
About the Kukri:
It is a matter of debate where the design came into Nepal from another or who promoted it first. It may be indigenous to the Indian region, but ancient Egypt, the Iberians, and the Greeks used similar designs.
One weapon of Iberian origin, the Falcata, shows some similarity with the kukri, and the Greeks used forms called the Machaira and kopis. Alexander the Great's men used weapons of this type and may have spread it into India when Alexander moved into the Punjab.
And the Kris:
The kris or keris is a distinctive, asymmetrical dagger indigenous to Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Southern Thailand and the southern Philippines. Both a weapon and spiritual object, krisses are often considered to have an essence or presence, with some blades possessing good luck and others possessing bad.
DOGMA! Nothing wrong with Dogma that a little evolution can't fix. :P
