with all due respect, this seems nice and all, but aren't there better things that could have been worked on?

Uhm, Borr, why aren't you working for Turbine or in the DDO team?
Q&A is the business of pointing out others' failures. Optimists need not apply.

I think the changes will be a good step forward for the Compendium.
Any chance on any idea when the Creature section will be open and useful?
Thanks!

Ye gods! The beast was horrific with one blade, became more daunting with two blades...but now you must face FIVE BLADES!!
The compendium is beautiful and I love the features but my real concern is the game itself..
I have been anxiously awaiting a Level increase for what seems like forever now we have quests at lvl 18, but charicters at lvl 16. Honestly I am getting bored I have one lvl 16 charicter and another almost there. The repetitiveness of the questing had become monotonous, seriously so. I know Turbine has many other games that they seem to be spending more time on because the worlds are massivly bigger but please do not forget about us here at DDO??
In my honest opinion and hearing a lot of this from other players the crafting in DDO needs to be easier I know you are probably making an atempt to apease us and give us something to fight for, but the gathering of materials is almost too much when you have to run the shroud 20 times before you get that one last ingredient or in most cases not get it at all and then you are left at the mercy of other players to try to recieve one of these precious ingredients.
Another request I would like to make known is the availability of mass buffs for the magical classes it would be nice to have the cleric buff true seeing as a mass buff. As a cleric myself I would like to see some more healing power! The tanks are getting so many more hit points that at times it can be difficult for a healer to keep up some new wands and scrolls would be helpfull as well. Or maybe just a shorter cool down time on the wands and scrolls we currently have.
Im not trying to make the game a breeze im just trying to make it more fun and interesting and less expensive for the magical classes.
Which brings to mind another problem!! Im talking about PLATT its way to hard to run an expensive charicter like a cleric with the measly amounts of platt we gain in game. So we now have to rely on other charicters to help us out with our costs. I have never seen a fighter have to ask for platt or a barb or any other class for that matter so it stands to reason that we need to do something about this monatary problem. Most of us do not have the platt that we did back when I started playing the game in 2006. It is a current struggle for thoes of us that dont muliti class our charicters because of a matter of prefrence or need. There are so fiew clerics in the game because of this reason that it also makes it hard to put together good parties for questing and raiding.
Of course this is all sugestive reading and some opinions of other long term charicters in the game we just wanted to be heard and hope that this message does not fall upon deaf ears.
That's funny, I thought DDO has been out a couple of years... Advertising has always been a sore issue with DDO. As for "polishing" the game I'd see the first couple of months or even 6 months, but this excuse is rather weak to say the least.
Mod9 is late, very late. Information is trickling in at best. Advertising is non-existant. People won't wait for ever.
Those are just facts.

QFT, not to mention the 2 years spent working on the core of DDO ( Levels 1-10 ) before it's release. DDO was/is a test bed for other games ( LOTRO) , the fact that it generates revenue to them is merely a bonus.
~ The new compendium looks good BTW ~ The team working on DDO does their best with what they are given. If they had unlimited funds and personnel, things would be different. But that's why they aren't allowed to make those decisions.
