    Default Dreaming of Asheron's 3

Yeah i am daydreaming of playing asheron's call 3.. with asheron's call 1's classless sytem, with expanded skills, and feets (well we can't call them feats can me) and instanced dungeons, and active combat..

    And real crafting..

man what a glorious dream it is...

And selling **** in the subway... i'm buying singularity keys for 7 M notes all day long baby.

Even with all its problems darkfall is really the answer. It really is amazing now, imagine what its going to be like in a year or less hopefully (when the paid beta is over)

If it ever gets a NA release.. right now they are limiting sales in europe cause it's blowing up much bigger then they dreamed and the value of the euro..it's possible we could actually never see it in NA.. we won't till next year i'm guessing atleast.

But i can't play something that epic anymore, ddo is wonderful for me, i can play quick group or long group content, or do slayers when life-aggro is high..

But man i loved the first asheron's..

The closest thing I have found is The Chronicles of Spellborn. It definitely has a certain AC feel to it. It does have classes, but they aren't anything like the classes we have seen in other MMOG's. Combat is skill based. The world has that large natural feel to it that AC had although its not entirely seamless.

Nice video of a new instance here:

Its real tempting to sub and see what is past the free trial zones.

    Default Memories

Takes me back to Leafcull and being a member of KoSH (Keepers of the Second Homeland).

The monarch and xp passing system was awesome, even if somewhat overpowered. The classless system was good, allowing an axwielding, debuffing maniac. A wide variety of mages due to the four schools of magic.

Character development was great in that game too. Overview. You had i want to say 300 point to spread over 6 basic attributes (sound somewhat familiar) on a 1 to 1 basis. 10 min 100 max. then you got 50(i think) points to by your skills, you could take your skills to either a trained or specialized level (example sword was 8 point to train, and 8 more to specialize) as you gained XP, you used it to increase these skills on a progressively increasing scale (first increase was 110, 2nd 180, 3rd was 220 etc). specialzing reduced these xp costs but ment you couldn't diversify as much. each skills was based off of the 6 original attributes (ex sword was strength+coordination/3 (maybe 4 cant remember)) scaled xp based on number of party members (max 8 although the in some areas, it was actually more efficient to run 6 or 7).

A large world, but portal everywhere to help increase access.

The best part for me though, was the 3rdparty programs.

If you wanted to set up a bot to stand in the subway and sell your ****, there was an ap for that. Dont remember the shortest route from a to b?? Ap for that. An archer and hate making arrows, yep you guessed it. A program to run your character and kill for you? Yes, but you could get banned if you weren't there to answer questions if a dev ported in. Reciept guides for crafting. Bots to allow you to craft for others? All was possible.

PVP was lacking, espcially for mages who could :Strafe cast (spells go strait) and do it for hours.

The monthly events were awesome too. The shadow assult on fort teth, Global message goes out, 20 min to defend the fort, if you dont do it, then the fort got destroyed and was server specific (fort is ok on your server, but maybe it got blown up on another).

With updated graphics, the monthly events and updated combat, i would go back.
    Wow!
