Figuring Out the Hound (no spoilers please)

Before I begin, I would like to ask people not to post strategies or spoilers
in this thread.


Thanks in advance for your cooperation!



Our guild likes to figure things out for ourselves. We don't normally group with
anyone from another guild until we have solved a quest. Right now, we are
working on the Hound of Xoriat.

Our big problem is manpower. We seldom have more than 6-7 people online at
one time. This is no problem for a non-raid type quest, but tends to be a nightmare
on raids.


We are looking for some people that can play dumb and go along as a hired sword
or mage and not ruin it for us by telling us how to solve it.


Is there anyone out there that is interested in doing this?



I know this is not for everyone, but I figure I would see if anyone is interested.
I also wanted to give people a heads up for when you see us put up a LFM
that says "noob run, please no sploilers" or "blind leading the blind..no spoilers"



After the Hound will be VoD.

i'll help. i won't spoil anything either. however...expect to fail the first tenish times you try it without any spoilers at all.

The hound is difficult. I will only say this: It requires the group to look at what is happening, and then after the wipe discuss it and figure out what might be the solution to the problems of the raid.

Send me a PM on the days you are going to do this and i'll come and help as best i can..without saying too much lol

We made our first two attempts on Sunday night and figured some things out.

After our first run, we grouped up and talked about what we saw and what happened.
We went back in for a second trip and I think we may have figured out the biggest
piece of the puzzle...that's all I can say as I don't want to give any spoilers for others
that may read this.


I think we have to refine our plan and execute it now.

The secret to figuring out this quest is the same as most quests. Reading... Do that and you should know what to do in 2-3 tries.

I really appreciate that you are trying to figure it out and not just copy. As someone who played when things first came out I can honestly tell you there is no subsitute for reading the quest text, the narrations, and stopping to look at everthing and poke everything with a stick. Smell the roses if you are new, it really will help.
