Default Move the damage feedpack on giants down

You know the damage numbers that pop up when you hit something? Or the miss, or save or immune message?

Can we get those moved to character-height rather then monster height?

Have to move my camera to a terrible angle to see those on dragons, giants, portals, pit fiends and the like.

I've always just kind of assumed this would happen eventually since it seems like such an obvious thing. But i guess not. So please fix it!

Ditto. Very frustrating when trying to compare the damage being dealt with one weapon vs. another, or when trying to see just how much damage that crit. smite was for.

It's just not the same. Besides i have combat chat for my attacks turned off because they spam the hell out of my combat window making it pretty much useless for the defensive feedback that i find far more useful. And anyway having it way up where you can't see it is just bad design and makes the game feel less polished.

I like to see (Example): 38+11+5, rather than You hit so-and-so for 38 points of pierce damage. You hit so-and-so for 11 points of holy damage. You hit so-and-so for 5 points of good damage.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that likes the simplified 38+11+5 (numbers are made up as use in an example. I know how uber you are. I used low numbers to make you feel even better.) :-D

I've found the same thing when I was trying to figure out the shroud portals at first too, its a bit annoying.

And on a related note, in shroud pt5 the damage number often is hidden behind the graphics as he grows/shrinks. It should always be the top layer.

Biggest issue I could see if they moved them down is that they would then be inside the model for the giant. They would need to find a way to superimpose them over the model of the giant or dragon but would need to do so in a way that would still look good.

It is true that its annoying trying to change the camera angle so you can read them.

They should definitely allow you to customize the feedback in the combat log.

    Something like:

    Balkas 42+11+12 Your mom.

I might have the opposite request for monsters such as Fire Elementals where the feedback seems to take place inside them and is generally only partially visible.

I'm so uber, I get +42 for my HOLY damage, not a measly 11....

But signed... Also it seems like damage numbers can end up BEHIND monsters now, and I don't believe that was always the case...

This has already "sorta" been talked about by the Devs

I asked about this in that thread but never really saw an answer.
