To the OP - Use the item if it suits you or vendor it. You can try to AH it and maybe find someone that doesn't know it's value. I wouldn't waste the time though.
Good luck. Happy Smiting.

I only made two arguements here:
1) The ml 10 smiter would sell (how much depends on variable factors).
He didn't argue effectively against either point - basically "nu uh" to the first and proved the second.
I'll give you this though - he did argue effectively at the random hypothetical reasoning (he asked for) someone might want a ml 10 kama over a handwrap...of course, given that it isn't MY position, the whole process seems pretty idiotic. Glad the whole setup-strawman-knock-it-down debate technique he used impressed(...tricked) you though...slick.
I have no use for it. I'll see if a guildy needs it, if not, I will AH or vendor it. Thanks![]()
Ok I'll try to make this simple for you. Pretending to assume that you wont just argue again because you don't think you could ever be wrong.

Asp posed a question "why pay for 1 hand when you can get both hands in handwraps?"
You answered in an offensive way:
Because:
1) They splashed monk
2) They wanna use something else in their off-hand
3) They like kamas
4) There are no reasonably priced ml 10 smiting hand wraps on the AH
5) They have ic: slashing
Pick one slick.
Asp then broke it down for you:
1) They splashed monk
use rapiers, shortswords, or scimitars in a monk splash
2) They wanna use something else in their off-hand
when you want to smite, you want to smite, not use something else.
3) They like kamas
nobody would buy a kama just because they look pretty.
4) There are no reasonably priced ml 10 smiting hand wraps on the AH
haven't checked the AH lately, have you?
5) They have ic: slashing
use a longsword or scimitar, they're cheap
On point one: Rapiers, Shortswords, or scimitars would be a better choice than a kama. Asp was correct here.
On point two: If you are trying to smite something you'd probably prefer to not "mix it up" with something else. You'd have to poll players to find out if this is true but from my experiences I've not heard of anyone "mixing it up" when dual wielding vorpals, smiters, banishers, etc... when they didn't have to. I believe Asp made a good point here.
Point three: Who in their right mind(besides the rare role player or inexperienced player) would pick kamas when there are much better choices?
Point four: He proved you wrong with a picture.
I just logged onto Sarlona(guessing he logged on Argo) and found:
+2 Axiomatic HW of Smiting Bid 12801gp Buyout 15,000gp
+4 Thundering W of Smiting Bid 16201gp Buyout 50,000gp
+3 HW of Smiting Bid 25000gp Buyout 40,000gp
+2 HW of Smiting Bid 72,001 No Buyout
These look pretty cheap to me.
Do remember that these are effectively two weapons in combat as opposed to one so you'd have to double the price of a kama to compare it.
Point five:
If they have Improved Critical Slashing
They would still be better off with the following:
A Longsword "naturally crits" on a 19-20
A Scimitar "naturally crits" on a 18-20
A Kukri "naturally crits" on a 18-20
(As opposed to a kama which "naturally crits" on a 20)
At level one the monk class gets "Martial Weapon Proficiency" which means they can use a longsword, scimitar, or kukri.
Ok, having spelled it out for you here is the point I believe Asp was trying to make:
Very few people(probably inexperienced or role players) would ever want to purchase a smiting kama from the AH when they can get better smiters which HAVE NOW BEEN PROVEN to be affordable.
As for the points you made:
1) The ml 10 smiter would sell (how much depends on variable factors).
Probably right, some one with little sense or a role player MAY buy it. But not real likely unless it is priced VERY CHEAP.
2) Little 14k post boy has a limited vocabulary and questionable reading skills.
Just a simple cheap shot and name calling.
Your statement:
he did argue effectively at the random hypothetical reasoning (he asked for) someone might want a ml 10 kama over a handwrap
Random Hypothetical - No, the reasons are simply stated and proven in my text above.
of course, given that it isn't MY position, the whole process seems pretty idiotic
If it's not your position then why were you trying to give 5 points of why someone would want a kama then? Busted.
And once again your parting word.... slick.
I've learned in life that when one cant make a good enough argument that they try to distract by name calling, insulting, or trying to point out that someone cant be right because they mis-spelled a word or didn't use proper grammar. Not working this time. You just got schooled.
Once again to the OP. Your kama would eventually find a buyer on the auction, but probably not for a good price and it would probably take some time to sell with, in all likelihood, multiple listing.

This has been fun but it's time to go to bed now. After all this talk I may have to go buy a smiting kama off the AH tomorrow. lol![]()

Wow, and I was thinking Argo players took the cake for being thick...
I'm glad you took the time to type a lengthy diatribe against the reasons someone would choose to buy and use kamas over some other weapon. I'm sure the hypothetical person that holds those hypothetical views will be crying in his hypothetical kleenex when they see that their hypothetical playstyle has been trashed, hypothetically, by you.
Nevertheless, the world revolves and kamas still sell. Whaddya gonna do huh?
I think I'm gonna go drop another ham storm in the Argo Lobster and watch some more players dance for my amusement.

but, looking back on Delt's past posts, I find that this is his M.O. All bluster and no substance. Oh well, some people just aren't happy in life.

Ahh, that's right my boy, read my history and shower me with attention. Outta curiouisty, slick, those handwraps still available? Because if not, all you've proven is that well priced crappy smiters sell pretty quickly. And ya, they sold.
In the scheme of things, whats more important - posting correct info or blabbing on and on against strawmen to boost your post count? Thanks for the laugh kids.
Makemaming words is so last year. Stop liveming in the past.

Delt your a lost cause, go back to whatever slimy hole you crawled out of. Noone cares about your opinion. And note, anyone posting threads in argo about argo stuff really don't benefit from or care about outside server input or opinions, get out!
