Not true at all, 20/ threat range is all monks really get. You won't get alot fer it, but you'll probably get something from the AH, from a low level monk.

2) They wanna use something else in their off-hand

3) They like kamas

4) There are no reasonably priced ml 10 smiting hand wraps on the AH

5) They have ic: slashing

use rapiers, shortswords, or scimitars in a monk splash
2) They wanna use something else in their off-hand
when you want to smite, you want to smite, not use something else.
3) They like kamas
nobody would buy a kama just because they look pretty.
4) There are no reasonably priced ml 10 smiting hand wraps on the AH
