Default A great way to improve in game experience

Someone on our guild website just posted a website where you get your name translated in the Elfic language or Hobbit language. The results are very interesting.

Taurnil Cùthalion and Bodo Bolger of Newbury are the elfic and hobbit version of my real name. My ingame name (main) would be FINGOLFIN.

Now what if at character creation, your name had to go through a translator (mandatory) that would give you a name in the language of the race you choose! Wouldnt that greatly improve the ingame experience, role playing, by giving an extra touch of reality by having a name in harmony with your origins?

Personally, I find that names like ''Mysorc'' ''Ilovetokill'' ''lickingood'' or ''leekmyarsh'' have nothing to do with the storyline and, unfortunately, are quite detrimental to the fantasy that a game like DDO is supposed to bring to it's players.

Now, I only know of these 2 translators and i dont know if there are any for the other races (dwarf, drow, warforged). I dont know either how to implement this in this game (I leave it to the brains of turbine to figure it out).

If this ever happens, It will be an amazing improvement.

Salaheddine, elf ranger (capped and somewhat bored by repetitions and lack of fantasy)

    indeed.

now, i wouldn't mind a random name generator (like just about every other game i have played has) cause i hate coming up with new names.

I think names like that are bogus, too, but I don't think the solution is to force names of a certain kind on players. If someone really wants to name his character Shizzle Mynizzle, more power to him (but I'm not going to group with him). If I'm not actively playing with them (and I don't mean just "in a party,") others players' characters are pretty much non-existent to me.
