Loved City of Lost Children, very strange film and a great story. Jean-Pierre Jeunet has done a few good movies, Delicatessen and Amélie.

Don't remember too much about the movie, except being disappointed that it didn't actually resembled the book in almost every feature.

    HAWK THE SLAYER.....
I have been trying to remember the name of this movie for a while now, was very neat when it came out, on Showtime i think.

At the time of release, Excalibur was mind blowing in how good it was. R rated fantasy? Almost unheard of. Copared to today's standards... well.

Borderline for the genre, but Heavy Metal, specifiically the last story.

Total cheeseball flick, but anyone remember the viking movie with Lee Majors (the Six Million Dollar Man)? Who knew barbarians wore trimmed 1970's mustaches?

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy was so good it ruined pretty much every other fantasy film for me, with the possible exception of the Princess Bride, which scores marks for humor and memorable scripting.

The other contenders all seem pretty cheesy to me.

Can't wait for the Hobbit to come out. So glad that Peter Jackson is still involved with it.

    Default Legend?

I'd put Record of Lodoss War in the top ten just because of the barbarian sequence the preamble leading to the battle with the dragon is also nice. I'd love to see a sequence in DDO where someone buries a great axe in Velah's schnoz.

Dragonslayer would be in my top 5.

    Honorable mention Beastmaster.

For me The Barbarians would fall into the top ten worst fantasy movies along with Legend.
