Default Possible to have a 28pt WF Wizard?

So I'm thinking I'd like a caster and while I have unlocked Drow, I have been hearing amazingly good things about Wizards with a couple splash levels of Rogue for the UMD and Evasion.

Do any of you know if this is possible on a 28pt build? If so, do you know of any?

    Thanks.

Personally I think a 28 point pure wizard is more than fine. I think you might be stretching it a bit if you decide to do too much with a 28 pointer, like wiz/rogue with evasion (remember, need a decent reflex save) and rogue skills. Is a drow wiz/rogue a consideration? B/c you make up for not having 32 pointers unlocked by going drow (which don't get 32 build point options, their increased stats are built in for them - which is good b/c they get increased stats to a lot of what you want as a wiz/rogue, dex/int/and cha (go w/ umd since you'll have full ranks)).

Well sure Drow is an option. I don't really know much about casters. I have a level 6 Drow Sorc that's fun to play, but I do like the idea of being able to use whatever spells the situation calls for. Being able to prep for a certain quest instead of trying to plan it 3 days at a time would be so convenient.

It really depends on what the forums suggest. I have no problem confessing my ignorance and taking advice from people who know their stuff. I'm looking for Pure wiz WF builds, Drow builds, wiz/rogue builds, all of it.

I'm trying to find one that works for me. Being able to use rez scrolls and heal scrolls and stuff sounds pretty darn useful, so that's why I asked about the splash of rogue for UMD.

    What do you suggest?

If you're not worried about doing traps, and having rogue skills, and are focused on the UMD'ing heal scrolls part of splashing rogue, then I'd just stay pure wiz and go warforged for the self healing (can cast repairs and reconstruct on yourself).

It costs one feat to make an int based rogezard have a good reflex save. It's also very easy to keep search, spot, and disable maxed, open locks at 1/2. Max out open locks later (take your second level of rogue at 7) so you'll be able to keep it maxed because you'll have more int for another skill point. (yes, I know about the knock spell, I also know it's ineffective against harder locks, and you often waste a lot of SP finding out)

Hide? Move Silently? Bah, a rogezard needs not these things!

Anyway, my 28 pt WF rogezard is a blast to play, and I really don't miss the extra few points.

Other classes, like paladins, cry out for 32 points. Wizards are very nearly one-stat-ponies.

Or you could just take the feat that uses Int for your Reflex saves.
