I have no wand or scroll enhancements, so I just use Heal Scrolls.

Meh to each their own, I don't rock alot of SP because of Spell Pen and Focus feats, so if I can get away with using cheaper spells,--for me every little bit adds up. I also have the luck of not really having to Pug very many members of a raid, and being in a Guild with a ton of high AC Evasion builds, and having Casters there to heal my WF Barbs. Last Shroud I single clerics, most of my SP went to DPS the Pit Fiend because people simply werent taking damage.

Now, I could use Mass Heal for Undead mobs for sure

Really, I have to see how the spell is implemented in game b4 I make any decisions on it. Maybe I will drop Empower H altogether ans just use Mass Heal.

ETA : Since I run offensive casters the other thing that affects me is that I have Heighten on all the time unless I know for sure that I will not be doing any CC or DPS. I don't want to have to toggle this on and off, as I will surely forget/ be too distracted doing that. This is part of why I use Scrolls to heal as much as I can instead of the actual spell.

    Maximixed healing - Mass cure mod - 60 SP - cures 200%

To cure 600% of base healing:
    - 4 x 39 = 156 SP
    - 3 x 60 = 180 SP

Plus less chance of overhealing with empowered healing, so less chance of "wasted" healing.

I'm not sure why every cleric doesn't have empower healing NOW.

With 12 AP and Lorrik's Necklace, yes, Empower Healing have a marignal win against Maximize + Gloves of the Glacier with zero AP cost.

With 6 AP plus the necklace (or 12AP without the necklace), VoD Glove + Maximize only have a slightly worse effectiveness on Mass Cure Mod, and win out at Mass Cure Serious (and Mass Cure Critical, of course), especially when you could complete the whole Lorrik's set ( DT armor tier 3, Lorrik's Champion, Lorrik's Necklace)

And if you didn't spend any AP on Improved Empower Healing enhancment, Maximize + VoD bracer beat Empower Healing + Lorrik's Necklace from Mass Cure Mod to Mass Cure Critical.

Without any item, Empower Healing + Mass Cure Mod have exactly same effectiveness with Maximize + Mass Cure Mod, the later one have better Mass Cure Serious / Critical.

If you have question why Maximize Spell can win empower healing in some situation, please realize we are comparing the TOTAL HEAL vs TOTAL SP cost.

And you only cost 1 feat to boost your Mass Cure AND your damage spell. (For Maximize route)

It's why not every cleric have empower healing NOW.

Good point... Maximize works for both blade barrier and cure spells, so you get more bang for your buck that way.

Maximize affects mass cure spells; it does -not- affect the heal spell.

Many maximize-using clerics prefer it for specifically that reason; they don't need heal to heal more than 285 hp, and dont want to spend extra sp to make it do so.

maximize only works on spells with variable die: 4d8+20 from cure critical can be maximized; 10/level from heal cannot.
