Default Scroll cases, a new container.

Wizards (and to a lesser extent clerics, sorcerors , bards and rogues) would benefit a lot having the ability to have a GATHER item (like collectible or gem bags) for scrolls.

As a wizard you'll find scrolls you cant memorise yet, but want to later.

Bards and rogues with magic device usage will want to store their scrolls in a nice container also.

    Any comments?

I think they should start with spell component bags. I think you could easily get to the point where people say "what about potion bags?, what about wand bags? what about dagger sheathes?" We do get a ton more backpack space already. At some point we will reach the "ridiculous" in storage container requests.

Umm.. He's talking about scrolls...you know.. paper! Paper can be rolled togeather. Like in a map tube.

He's not asking that a bunch of sticks(wands) or bottles(potions) or knives be combined.

Frankly I agree with the scrolls and components pouches.

How many times do u see mages depicted with component pouches on their belt. Or scroll containers for that matter.

IMO asking for containers for things like scrolls or as you suggest components is not stepping into the "ridiculous" realm.

Oh, now, we get scroll cases and the next thing you know, we'll have quivers. Talk about ridiculous.

I hate opening a chest and pulling out treasure that is of no use to me other then selling for cash.

Currently, that is what 90%+ of al scrolls pulled from chests are.

And the main reason is because I don't have room in my backpack to keep odd scrolls of seldom used spells lying around.

It might be cool for my Rog to pull out a scrol of Lightning Bolt sometime, but it will never happen....cause my inventory is already full of stuff I know I need.

The really useful scrolls are not an issue. They stack to 100 and don't take up much space......
But the hodge-podge collection of scrolls we pull from chests will never be more than vender trash, because unless they are a very rare or often used scroll, it makes no sense to keep them around cluttering up limited packpack space.

Scroll cases make more sense, and should've been implemented before quivers IMO.

(I'd also like wand cases and potion bags too. )

Thanks, I can read. How is the dagger sheathe example not appropriate then? Anyway, I didn't say that any were ridiculous. I stated that it could open it up to where a ridiculous number of items could be justifiable in asking for "containers". Why is it that so many people who can't read accuse others of not being able to read?

I have an assassin, a wizzy, a bard and a cleric. Scroll cases would be awsome. There are tons of times I see a scroll or two in the chest that I would love to grab for later use but end up leaving there because I don't have the room. I don't think a scroll case is anywhere near an outrageous suggestion. Just implement it similar to the gem/ingredient/collectible bags...a limit to type of srolls and the stack sizes. Like one of the post above said...they're only paper...you roll them up and slip them into a container to keep things organized.

actually, you can get scroll cases and spell compoent bags in PnP in the PGB. The Componemnt bags have issues (they are working on that, I forget who or where it was said) with the ingredients coming out like they should when a spell is casted.

Spell component bags would be awesome (and even better that Turbine is actually working on these). Some sort of container for scrolls would be nice too, I remember saving scrolls for my wizard to inscribe and having a full inventory page and a full bank slot of just mid/high-level scrolls for her to use later

You may scribe scrolls at any time. You do not need to be the appropriet level. buy the incription componant and scribe away.

as some have said it would be nice to have scroll cases and such .I too run clerics and could use them badly, although if i could use all my backpack spaces for my healing needs instead of having to have 3/4 or more of a page empty for collecting the junk from all the chests in a quest . i would have enough room as is.so i would like to see a bag in our inventory that all things pulled from chests would automaticly go into this bag of say mmm 30 to 50 slots ,then you could sort and sell from this bag after each quest therefor leaving all other backpack slots for what you need to carry. this eliminates as one poster states here every one wanting a special case for daggers etc . and to avoid peeps just useing this as extra back pack slots you have no option to put ne thing in this bag manually ,only from chest ,thats it. pluss we would not have to look through our inventory for vendor trash all the time as it would be in this bag jest my 2cp

man think of the amount of cash this could drain out of the economy if we had even a small scroll case holding 8 or 10 stacks of 100 scrolls... tel, gtel, dd, ss, gh, mass prot, night shield, and false life all come to mind as scrolls I'd load up on at the start of every weekend (well, the ones I can buy at a vendor at least) just so I had some more interesting spells I could prep in the freed up slots.

Yeah, and it's especially cool the way you can stack scrolls of different kinds.

hey this would be great. make it a lot easier for a UMD melee to fit all their gear. anything that opens up backpack space is good.
