Getting the ore yourself takes about 20 minutes.

Gathering all the khyber shards, making them into the right size khyber shards( believe you need 10,000 to create a single batch of usable shards) , then successfully trapping the soul 20 times in a row is considerably harder and more time consuming than ore gathering - you may want to up your ante.
