Normally I would chide the OP for a post like this for being a noob, but I can't. That's sad, and why? Because the lag is so overwhelming right now that I actually sympathize with him. Yes, me and sympathy. I know . . . I know . . . write it in your diary's kids.

Doesn't mean I'm going to stop running VoD, just means I can understand why, especially on a resource-intensive toon.

Well, I will count myself lucky as I have not really had many lag issues. My loot pulls, however, leave something to be desired.

I have been running lowbies and mid-levels during the xp time and I have had 0 lag.

It is interesting that the lag seems to occur at the higher levels for the greater part. IS this due to the number of monsters? Is it due cc spell affects?

I've done a mixture of low and high levels lately. I've seen a decent amount of lag in some of the lower level quests, but nothing on the scale of the high level ones. I suspect it has something to do with the damage numbers, both given and received. A party of 16s can put out a lot of damage, and it will come from multiple sources. On the same token, they will also be taking damage much faster, usually from more sources as well. There are probably numerous other factors involved as well, but everyone should be able to attest to the existence of DPS lag in the Shroud.

It's not my computer. It's not my video card. It's not my IP.
It's server-side lag, lag that only hit me once they changed their network provider. And it needs to be fixed soon, or I won't give a bloody **** what cool things are coming in the next mod. As I said in my other post - I'm moving into a new house soon, and adding a lot of additional financial burden to my life. If I cannot just log in to have fun & not have to worry about lag - then I simply will find a better use of my free time.
