Hordo is Heading for Hotlanta

Attention Khyber residents...

I will be going to Atlanta for personal reasons the last weekend of March (arrive Saturday 3/28 and go back home on Sunday 3/29) and am wondering if there are any Loreseekers or fellow Khyberians that may want to meet up for dinner or something. Heck, if you live in Atlanta and don't mind a fat, ugly, guild leader on your couch either...

Anyway, I will be firming up my plans within the next week or so, but that weekend is set and I'd like to see as many folks as possible within the constraints of my schedule.

I will be driving from Memphis to Atlanta on that Saturday, 28th March, and leaving around 10:30AM or 11AM Central Time...so on average, by the speed limit *snicker*, I should arrive between 5:30PM 6PM Eastern Time.

I am fairly familiar with Atlanta, as I used to live in Decatur, but will need time to look stuff up to get there. If anyone is interested in meeting for dinner, let me know on this thread or PM me.

I ran with you all the other day, I was on Kinkaise/Stiltson/Karmic. I am about 2.5 hours N of Atlanta and the MAC guild leader is realy close to Atlanta. If I had the free time we could be two fat ugly (balding?) guys. Featherstone is the guild leaders name. If you make to the asheville, NC area and need to know a good resturaunt, let me know.

Ok. Despite the freaking out of certain players from Singapore...ahem...

Still figuring out the place to stay.

Thinking maybe hitting Virginia Highlands and seeing how much it may have changed since the last time I was there.

Still determining the locale for dinner and will update folks as to that, too, in case some may want to meet for dinner and not go out for any drinks afterwards.

Of course, this is all presuming there are folks in the Atlanta area, on the Khyber server, who read the forums, and my threads, and even give a f^%# about meeting up with me in the first place.

MTS, dude I so agree! I was born in (get this) Brooklyn! Lived in West Hempstead, Queens for a few years before being dragged kicking and screaming southward by my parents and away from the rest of my family, nearly all of whom live in the city.

Thriand, I lived there for a couple of years a long time ago, back when Hotlanta was still the 'cool' thing locals called the city...I apologize if I offended you it was completely unintentional.

I have decided I'll hang out at the last bar in Atlanta I played live as a musician in. Thank goodness I was just in the band or I'm sure I'd be lynched as we got pretty drunk, sounded horrible and broke up that night! This was back in 1996 folks, so I hope I can still find it! LOL
