Found an easier way to level

Someone showed me an easier way to level. The secret is to join a group and enter the instance. Wait until the rest of the party is about a quarter of the way through, and then afk and let them do all the work for your easy xp. It's absolutely brilliant!

It's great to group with, as you won't pull mobs before everyone's ready and don't bog down chat with senseless talk about tactics or... well, anything for that matter, since you're afk during most of the quest.

Yup! Since you're already in the instance, you can loot at your convenience one you get back from your afk!

I once had an emergency afk in SC pretty much at the start, where my group finished the whole thing without me (and naturally said some nasty things about me)

They did pull a neat trick to prevent me looting though that you might consider using in future with a freeloader. They brought some stray mobs back to me and had me killed, so when I came back later, I was dead and couldn't loot!

So if your fast levelling friend does not want to come to the fight, then bring the fight to them! That is good for getting a response, and don't forget to leave their stone out of range of a shrine!

I don't mind if someone is dead weight, as long as it is agreed by all.

I can understand an emergency afk, but at least have the decency to leave group first.

And you know most of the time if you have an emergency and are upfront about it, some groups will just say 'we'll finish the quest for you'. Mind you that probably doesn't work when it happens 1 minute after entering, but I did have something come up when were about 75% through and was going to bail and they told me to stay so I could get the XP.

LOL that reminded me of a pugger that complained when he got raged in shroud prt1.
cuz, you know....those portals have a high to-hit so that 1 ac was huge!

Out of range you say? Loreseekers have been dropping Hordo's stones in lava pits and off cliffs for a while now.

There is a very good reason I don't like to be raged for portals and I've explained it.. All I want is a haste, and if you've got a beef with that than you can **** off.

I won't bother explaining it again, and if it's not me your referring to then be considerate to others, sometimes there are very good reasons for requests.

Just my belief that any toon in shroud that is made or broken by 2 ac should reroll, lol. I have a monk , has a 71 self buffed ac and I don't complain about losing 2 ac, I'm glad to get the extra damage ... Could you actually explain why you don't want to be raged? Maybe a good explanation would sway me

I'd be dyeign to know why not!!!!! becasue i can.t come up with ANY reason to lose 1 damage EVERY hit on portals that adds up by the end to less tiem in borring part 1.

If the portal team needs 1 ac the group is doing something wrong.

2ac not 1 But I agree with you, the ONLY reason i can possible think of to not cast rage on soem one is IF the few second of red puse may KILL them in RL, through soem odd condition. other wise I am baffled as to a reason to not cast rage on every one in part 1.

LOL I know rage is -2. I ment needs a total of 1 AC between them all. 0 AC for all is not an issue.

Heck, my cleric has a 35 AC, and I don't complain about it. A portal hasn't hit me yet!

lol. not always possible. it be nice but sometimes it's a fairly big emergency.

about 6 months ago i was in a group and i think we were doing madstone and approaching the last See'r. I hear sirens outside, not uncommon, so i keep on playing. My phone rings... i can't answer, too busy! A knock at my door so i say "afk" to answer. It's a fireman who tells me to be prepared to evacuate because the condo complex next to mine was on fire. So i ran back in and said to party over voice "Condo on fire.. afk". and never came back. luckily my place didn't catch and was able to come back and loot after their hard work. but my buddies place was damaged beyond repair...


so ya... sometimes **** happens.

but people who do this repeatedly and on purpose are sorta defeating the purpose of the game...
