Default How much dps is your rig dealin?

With the new year among us, I know a lot of us are building new pc's. I know I seriously needed a new one, my old rig would drop me down to 4fps or even lower. And I couldn't even go into the refuge (let alone any of the explorer areas). And I was finally able to play our beloved game (and then some!!)
So out of boredom and shear curiousness, what kind of rig is everyone else running? I guess it would only be fitting that I start off

My old system could barely play the game after mod8. I had severe bottlenecks, I was running: amd athlon 64 3200+, 2 ati x1800 (crossfire), and 2gb of ddr pc3200. I agree with the video thing, but still running onboard sound (for the moment), but I am now able to run at max settings with absolutely no issues.

*scratches head* what the heck were you running in the background on your old rig?

I mean I'm running the same machine I was when I joined DDO back... before Mod 2 got released, and I still have zero issues playing. Back then I was doing maxed settings with a amd 64x2 (3800?), 2 gig of ram, 1 nvidia 7900.

DDO is a single core, but shoving up the settings offloads a ton of work to the GPU vs the CPU. So either ATI 1800 couldn't compete against a 7900, or you had a **** ton of services and tasks running in the background killing your gaming.

    E8500 overclocked to 3.7 gig
    Evga 780I motherboard
    Evga 260GTX overclocked
creative PCI-e soundcard-using Optical connection to home stereo
    2gigs Mushkin memory
    22inch Samsung LCD
    Vista

I max out in the 300+FPS and average around 140 or higher with all the setting maxed out and using DirectX10

DDO does not need more then 2gigs and 64bit does nothing for a 32 bit program

Quad core P4 processor with 4 Gigs of Ram, 2 Nvidia 8800GTs with 512RAM installed and soundblaster. I bought the computer for Age of Conan and it was taxed for that game, even with Vista 64bit installed. I got back on DDO and i can run everything at high and fps in most areas is 33fps.

how'd you do that system info thing, OP?

anyways i'm running an older AMD X2 4400, dual core, at 2.2 GHz with 2 gigs of ram and an ATI 2900xt gpu (512mb) on a 22 inch widescreen and DDO runs great.

    AMD X2 6000+ at 3.06gHz per core
    EVGA Nvidia GTX 260 OC
    Gigabyte M58 MoBo
4 Gigs of OCZ ULL RAM
    On-board sound
    Vista

With this setup, I average about 110 frames per second with spikes as high as 190 at low traffic times and as low as 60 at really high traffic times...

Core Duo somethin', EVGA 260 GTX, 6 Gigs DDR-1066, Soundblaster XFi, Vista 64-bit office.

I have a 2nd XP boot drive though haven't used it for almost 6 months. The DX10 is too pretty and Vista 64 with 6 gigs of memory lets DDO and Warhammer both run at maximum settings and I can flip between whichever one interests me with no discernible delay. I think the total FPS I see is slightly reduced in Vista compared to XP, but the load times are non-existent.

I do see two annoying DX10 bugs. Launching in full screen mode sometimes fails. Once in a while DX10 goes to miserable (<10) fps... bouncing to another application and back or hitting alt-enter twice fixes this.

BTW, I see NV drivers 182.08 just came out. Has anyone tested to see if they fixed the DX10 texture flashing issue in DDO from the 181's?

Update: Found this thread. Maybe I'll update tonight.
