that's why I still carry my plain old +2 para bow. In fact most non caster mobs hate 11+ rangers with parabows because we can shoot thru everything. Our kill counts plument, but it save the healers a lot of SPs.

Parlysing works great.
So does Str damage....and of course con damage.

Everything works on them actually.
(sumoning not a good idea)

(persistant effects might not.....I think they dispel them themselves....acid arrow)
