You are equating +2 damage* on your main hand and +1 damage* on your offhand to +14 damage on both hands?

Oh, shall I mention that the first bonus can only be gained up to 5 times a day and that you are very likely to want to loose on those benefits when you want to move? Oh, sure, you gain extra Con, extra AC and Lay on Hands but can you really equate that to a 12-13 damage per swing loss? Especially when the extra AC and Extra Con are also only gained when standing still, and that as a DPS paladin you probably could not care less about extra AC.

I certainly hope not considering that the main flaw of the paladin class has always been their lower DPS, most of all.

*It's a little higher than that. It goes up to 2.7 main hand and 1.35 offhand.

AC paladins should pick up Defender of Siberys when M9 comes. It is their only hope to even contribute in a party (this last part does not apply to paladin intimitanks, but they should grab it anyway because it's the best PrE for them). As for DPS paladins, they are going to lose out on a lot whenever KotC is not the uber PrE it will most likely be in the upcoming update.

HotD will be a better PrE if KotC is not modified, if we ever stop having EO-heavy modules.

    Ignoring KotC a little...

A WF Paladin/Ranger will have the option of going Juggernaut (eventually) instead of, or in addition to, Kotc. WF Paladins also get bladesworn transformation, a 1 minute rage-like profane bonus +4STR +4Damage and the standard PA enhancements. There is a very real posibility of a 3rd Paladin Faith tier as well, expanding on this DPS ability.

I have a feeling were going to see a lot of WF paladins in mod 9 and 10. Adamantine Body's suckiness is greatly reduced by DoS's +2MDB in heavy armor, and it's other bonuses combine to allow for an easy 60+AC unbuffed. Even as a pure 20 paladin, without Intimidate, a WF Paladin could likely hold agro on major bosses with the ammount of +hate available. When Juggernaut finally hits the servers, I think youre going to see a huge clamoring to build WF, especially paladins. At the top is going to be the PLD/RNG mentioned here.

I looked into Juggernaut and I don't think it will translate that well into ddo unless you run with all wf.. There will certainly be more penalties to healing which eventually will catch up to a character.
