my computer broke up with me

hey argo,
this is actually more towards my guildies if they read the forums here enough. I am not leaving the game, I just had my computer take a major dump, and 2 months after the warranty expired none the less. I am getting the money together, and pay for a new mother board, and installation of course. its a laptop, so needless to say i dont know anyone who can just do that for me. so unfortunately I will be falling behind on lowbies and midbies this week, and will catch up again soon(tm) hopefully i can find a place to do it quick and cheap or else I'm with out my ddo for a week, to a week and a half, so now I'm gonna feel like I am going through withdrawals, and actually see the outside, lol! but yeah sorry to the docs for dropping group when i did because it was at that exact moment my computer decided to commit Harri Kari.
alright guys, my forced break from the game sucks, but i will be back. and please if you want send haste components to triscuts, he always seems to run out, guess i should buy more than 10 at a time huh. lol!

If you have any technical background and are good with a pair of tweezer, a screw driver and have the patience there are maintenanc tutorials for just about every major laptop vendor out there that show you step by step how to R&R a motherboard. Granted it's a bit more involved than ripping one out of a desktop and a bit more tidious due to the smaller parts but not something you have to pay for if you have the courage to plug ahead.

hmm interesting idea, i think ill look up a tutorial, to see how involved it might be, and just do it myself. I have patience, but not sure how much. that is interesting, and could probably save me a couple hundo's, maybe even a tasty ham lol! thanks for the suggestion, ill look it up

No problem and good luck with it. It's always a pain when these little jewles we are all endeared to, or should that be enchained to, go belly up.

In your search just use terms like your computer make and model, along with keywords like motherboard, mobo, remove and replace (R&R) should turn you up quite a few of them.
