    Default Graphics issues

    I'm having some problems with graphics on DDO. This only started today , never happened before In almost 3 years of playing. I get fragmented graphics and extremely slowed gameplay. It's intermittent, comes and goes.. Anything else I'm playing or looking at on the computer has no issues, just DDO.

    Here is a Pic of the type of bug I'm having. It does not happen on any other program or part of my computer, so it has to be DDO related.

    I get the same thing in some landscapes.
    I noticed it in a few of the Reavers Wilderness areas and The Vale.
    I did not take a screencap, but it it happens again....

    Mine happens all the time. Any landscape and very regularly. The fastest way for me to get a reprieve is hit ctrl alt delete, then just cancel out of that quick. Realigns the graphics for a minute or 2 then back to the picasso painting.

    Wow. I never had the whole screen do that.
    You are not the only person I have heard say something about graphic artifacts.
    I get stuff like this randomly

    Get ready to buy a new videocard, three times in turbine games i started having "issues" like that, three times i had to buy a new card with in a month.

    Only time I've seen stuff like that one of my video cards was going bad. Required some software testing to identify it though. One of my two cards (I was running dual SLI) was overheating and causing problems very similar to what you're seeing...Only happened in DDO initially, but gradually got worse and moved into other programs.

    Try turning off Bloom effects... looks like its the reflection thats associated with bloom.

    That looks like bad textures to me. Vid card shouldn't be overheating in the character selection screen.

    If I were seeing that on my machine, before I went and bought a new vid card I'd uninstall the game and re-install it. Four hours downloading the updates is worth it to me to avoid paying however much for a new vid card, especially if the vid card isn't the culprit and the new one displays the same way due to something wrong with the textures.

    You might also try switching from the high-res textures to the low-res, or vice-versa, just to see if that changes anything... but I think I'd re-install just to be certain.

    Already uninstalled and reinstalled, only takes me an hour or so, but still got the exact same issues. New Vid Card is on the way

    Have you opened up the case and made sure the fan on your video card is still spinning?
