Glancing Blow on Q-staff?

After learning that you can't assassinate with a crossbow (*** is that about!?) I rolled up a thief-acrobat (WF).

One thing I noticed was I am not getting any glancing blows with the quarterstaff. Does anyone know if that is a bug, how it's supposed to be, or if I am doing something totally wrong here? I have THF... but am not seeing any of those nifty extra red numbers on nearby kobolds.

staves get glancing blows on the 3rd, 4th and 5th attack IIRC, rather than 1st, 4th and 5th like greataxes.

QFT. Q-staffs are considered a single target weapon for the first two hits, and then when you start swinging them around your head, you get glancing blows.

I did not see any glancing blows until my bab was 5. Then I would start to see them more often. Once you take ITFH you will see a larger number. At level 11 I am getting 10-12 points on a glancing blow with a 24 str. Once mod 9 comes out WF and thf will get special effects on glancing blows(funny didn't they take that out once upon a time). So you will start seeing an increase in dps. I just have to get my butt moving and get a greensteel q-stick made. Nothing like glancing blows with and extra 2-3d6 damage without criticals.
Actually that brings up a question. Can you critical on a glancing blow? Also will things like weakening, disruption etc work on glancing blows?
