    Default Rainbow

Why do drow have a hard time seeing in rainbow in the dark? I mean they already took away spell resistance. If you are doing to take away almost everything that makes a drow a drow or even a basic elf for that matter then give us 32 point non-drow drow. What's the point of a 28 point ML2 that's been nerfed to ML1?

........All the vision lines have been nerfed as the only quest in the game where you need to see you can't. If they want to "nerf races" then they need to do it equally and not single some out.

    Where are their spell resistance?
Where is the posion DC on every hit?

It does not address that some races got every single thing they should and 32 points and others got not only shafted but also limited to 28 points. Should not have been hit with both!

yah but if they had used light requirements for all non darkness visions races it would have caused problems and drow arent really 28pt characters just 32pt with some prespent.

your op talked about rainbow, not about drow being nerfed , drow not being able to see in the quest fits the storyline , maybe they change the story so that you'd be happy?

if your asking for a spell resistance check to overcome the darkness then just imagine that the dc is so high its not even worth rolling against , ancient magic or whatever

I won't get into that argument..But lets say you are correct...Then they should have not been nerfed on top of it. Where is our correct level of SR? Don't say the SR is game breaking because Monks have it!

Actually, if anything happened, it is those with non-dark vision that got boosted by never needing to light a torch.

As for Rainbow in the Dark, not seeing in the dark fits the storyline as it is magical darkness. No one can see. That's why.

There is a reason behind this.

Drows are a much more powerful race than any of the five others. If Turbine had not given us 32 point buy builds for non-drows, then most of Stormreach would be drow by now simply because drow would be the best race for uber builds (unless they gave other races powerful enhancement to overbalance).

As for the other benefits that they miss on, I do not know what they are but the same logic could be applied. Like Drows' starting starts where too good (+2 Dex, -2 Con, +2 Int and +2 Cha) these racial abilities must have made Drows more powerful than what is acceptable, so they decided to skip them.

Monk is a class and drow is a race. Even if they were two races, what matters is the global power and not the power of each ability on its own.

With that said, I do think drows should have their SR back. It wouldn't be overpowered.

Oh I wont argue about the SR being wrong I just gave up on turbine fixing it.

What's this about drow having lost their spell resistance?!

Drow as a race starts with spell resisitance that scales with their level. Not the current way where they have to spend AP to get a small boost every few levels that won't even match the spell that clerics get.

You currently can't even spend the AP enough to boost it to its proper level. So I'm really wondering how they are going to respond with mod 9 and the level cap hitting 20.

And fluffy... poison DC on every hit? Aren't you playing with a generous DM somewhere.

You will find no such ability listed in their traits.

You know back when they released our first 'true' raid and we got drow, they saw them as overpowered. Same thing they did with WF in the beginning but they gave them back their immunities WITHOUT them having to pay for it.

The same should be done with drow. Allow us to at least get our spell resistance without having to spend AP's on it.
