Shroud run LFM I saw

So... there's a LFM up for the Shroud...

Has two clerics, 1 caster, 1 bard, a fighter, a rogue, a ranger... still about 5 melee slots to be filled...

Shroud leader only wants barbarians in his LFM...

So I check out the leader... thinking "what a noob"...

But then... I discover... He's in Legion.... What??!?

So now I'm all confused... There must be SOME explanation, right?


(This really truly isn't one of those, "I got declined from a group!" rants... Not at all.. I didn't even try to join. I'm just curious why someone from an elite guild would exclude rangers from a Shroud run...)

Maybe the guy forgot to update the classes he wanted. Maybe he had saved spots for guildys. Maybe he just wanted big bad barbs. Shrug. Its his group man if he wanted only monks, so be it. Sheesh.

Heh, I find it hard to believe that 3 guildmates from Legion would have any weaknesses at all. Those guys are bigger than me.

most likely he wanted DPS. Maybe he had some guildies who were coming on with rangers/pallys/fighters and wanted to spread it out a little. If I have one of a class in agroup, I tend to spread it out a little.

i would wager that the spots were really filled and he just had the lfm up for their ease of joining.

that and/or they wagered (probably correctly) that pug barbs are much better, or at least more survivable, on average, than pug rangers.

That one surprises me too. Even if weak on DPS, I'll leave it open for Rangers too. Most likely, what happened was that the spots were filled but one or two. We have quite a few lowbies hitting Shroud range at lvl 13-14, so DPS was probably a concern. It's easier to just post for a Barbarian to fill the last spot then include Ranger and have to ask if he's ranged or str based melee. Just a guess though.

Yeah this was my group. Don't know what you're talking about since we had a few gimpy pug rangers join. You must have hit it (or viewed it) when it was in transition.

Dude, have you not learned yet, you want to run with legion, it is by their rules. They do not force you to join with them, and it was their lfm. Personally, I enjoy most of my legion endevours. Yea, sure, most are pricks, but that's just part of their heritage. You would not understand. I'd join a legion run anyday.
