DWA or Scimi?

Moving this to my home server b/c no one looks at the Crafting page.




I would really like some help on deciding what "Lardar$$" should dualwield.

Lardarss is a Ftr 8/Pal 3/Rog 2 at the moment, is has all the TWF feats except tempest and is light armor only. I mainly use scimitar's for the improved crit range but i dont know what is better for the green steel.

The primary is going to be Transmuting +4ac weapon, the other im not sure on but im thinking either frost or electric.........the primary will be a double shard and the second will not be b/c i dont have that many large.....

Thoughts on which weapon, DWA or Scimi,

Thoughts on what would be a good second combination?

if you are a dwaf with the free DWA feat then go DWA. some would say lightning for 2nd, others for radiance. personally depends on what you really like. for me i made another min2 for my pure fighter, lightning was 2nd for my rangers. have a rog coming up and he will make a radiance before anything else

Scimmys do too little base damage. Their crit range is good, but their multiplier is only X2.

Not really worth it.

Khopesh and DA are the 2 best.

Heck, I would use a long sword before I would use the scimmy for the base damage and potential damage.

Just my thoughts.

good info here thanks, i think i will just go with DWA since i have the free feat. or i might pick up the Khopesh on my next feat.

If you have the APs to spend, then get the dwarf axe enhancements and go dwarven axe. Don't even worry about khopesh. That is, unless you don't have APs and have the feat to spare.

Dwa with the dwarven enhancements is as good as kopesh. It really depends if you want to spend the ap or the feat to get the dps increase. Both the DWA and kopesh are better than the scimi in the end game.

DA with imp crit range 19 - 20 (wow the dmg)

Scimmy with imp crit 15 - 20 (decent dmg but crits frequently)

I have a tempest build with duel rapiers (greensteel) and dam she does some dmg. Remembering the dmg will go to 1 d 8 with greensteel. (imp crit 15 - 20)

In saying this, Rapiers are just the s**t as far as I am concerned, W/P, banishing etc etc.

but as stated, its all personal choice.

Personally also, I am building a tempest khopesh, now that will be DPS!!!!!!
