Calling all Clerics!

The server appears to be in dire need of some healing hands.

If you have not built a cleric character yet, it is wise to do so now.
If you already have yourself a fighting-priest of great power, a shaman of life and death...If you already have one of these godlike beings...make another one.

Personally, I enjoy never having to wait for a group. I logon, check the LFM to see what raid is up and which one of my clerics is off timer for it. Once in a while I'm forced to bring out my warchanter but its all good.

What has been fun is grouping with 2 other clerics while leveling my cleric this week (Cleavon and Calistica). We throw up an LFM with 3 clerics already in the party and get some interesting /tells

I already have Sollee who was born the first week DDO went live, never had the heart to reroll her and now that she has the lorriks triple set, +3 tomes on every stat, not a chance.
My 2nd cleric is a warpriest named Lisbon because I really wanted to fight, since Sollee is only a healer and didn't start knocking heads till she made her shroud mace.
I wanted to get in the action and Lisbon is now 11 after the 25% weekend.

MY 3rd cleric is undetermined, just bought my 2nd account and trying to get a drow pally to 1750 to get my 32pt builds open on the account. Then I will roll my 3rd cleric and maybe a 4th.

i think everyone should have at least 1 cleric in there army but some folks cant play clerics so its better if they dont make em at all.

Finally have my rerolled cleric up to level 11 after the xp fest this weekend. Working hard on leveling him and my level 9 evasion intimi-dr-tank. Look for Fleshik and Fleshvik in a raid group near you soon.

I absolutely cannot play a cleric, Ed. Sorry! The closest I might get there is with a Bard, but I'm more inclined to make another rogue-variant or caster before that.

HOWEVER, when Druids are loaded into the table.... omg.... I might have two of those! One of my favorite classes, ever.

Goodluck with the Cleric Acquisition! I'm sure Argo's populace may do this with ya. Set up an LFM in-game to generate a static group of clerics to roll together (sounds like Cleavon and Co already got half of one started!)

YAY! I'm a needy player! but really... just made my first cleric... so let's see how it rolls, i'll probably reroll him once i open up 32pt builds.. but who knows?

one person designated solely to heal is a waste of a party slot. clerics on the other hand, are one of the most powerfull classes in both pnp and ddo. in both games a pure cleric can pull just as much weight as busted multiclass builds.

players that require a lot of healing are also a waste of a party slot. if a tank does great dps and requires a few heals, thats np. likewise if a ranger is killing so fast that they r leaving me with a projected mana surpluss, i will heal them too, even if they dont wand whip themselves. (typically i dont heal those who can heal themselves.)

at this point, having a long capped healbot cleric, a lvl 15 OCC cleric, a long capped AC tank, and a fresh lvl 14 WF Barbarian, i have pretty good judgement as to what to expect from tanks and healers. mostly is just a matter of either being uber or not being uber. uber grps can just zerg the hell out of low and mid lvl quests, right up through gianthold. Around lvl 12 these players have their 150 AoA favor and are setting their sights on getting shroud ready.

now about 'needing' a cleric. like i said, clerics are a broken class. there is no wonder why they are so coveted, but the same can be said for rangers and sorcs. if there is a grp composed of low lvl casual players they obviously need to put a little bit of thought into their party makeup, but clerics are not necessary. holding out for a cleric is no better than holding out for a party devoid of 'sp sponges.'

I guild with Sollee.. We are two of 5 or 6 who actually still play their Clerics for guild events or when a guild group needs one.

Instead of playing another Cleric all the way up, which I tried and failed to do because of shear boredom, GIVE US DRUIDS! GIVE US WITCH DOCTORS, GIVE US DOMAINS, GIVE US something to sink our teeth into to keep this game going....!

o man, how awesome would that be for clerics. of corse every cleric would take fire. guess what the 4th lvl spell is??? the 5th level one is fire shield. how about travel? all 3 transportation spells would be pretty sweet. waters got some nice offensive spells. str has a great domain power, along with stoneskin as its 6th lvl spell.

and those r just out of PHB 1.
