Default Reversable undead slayer cleric build?

My suprisingly solo-able healbot cleric is now level 5 and hitting the part of the game I hate the most: Undead City. A lot of quick quests in the 5-8 level range are undead heavy (House J, House K, Necropolis) and I was wondering if there's a cleric build that can rock undead...but there's a caveat.

I want the build to be able to be changed to a heavy healer build. Enhancments, spells, and Feats can be swapped out later so I'm wondering if there are some undead-killer feats, spells, or enhancments I can take to help with undead. So I'm not looking for multi-class options, just a pure cleric with changeable undead focus.

    Basic, universal rogue build advice

Most options are through enhancements. Max out the spells of light and life lines, take improved turning and extra turning enhancements. Wear a sacred item and have that level 2 cleric spell cast which improves your turning power. Also have eagles splendor and owl's wisdom going at all times (or low level +3 if +4 items if you have them). The best potency item you can get will help spell damage.

As for as feats go, the only thing I can think of is extra turning.

Any of the light spells usually do extra damage against undead and remember that cure spells damage undead, so a heal specced cleric should be able to good spell damage to them.

As far as turning goes, you will have learn which undead are resistant to it (either via innate turn resistance or high HD). Note that the HD of a mob does not always equal its CR, especially with undead. For example most wights and ghouls can be destroyed easily but archer skeletons are nearly impossible.

EDIT: or as Impaqt stated, get a few good weapons, strap on a sheild, bull's str, divine favour (divine power when you get level 4 spells) and go nuts in melee

True, but it's still fun to be able to equip the Sacred necklace, cast Seek Eternal Rest, and run around till you have a big pack of them to destroy with one Turn

Really, at level 5, you don't need much more than that. Once you get back to wanting to go full healer mode, you can just swap out the spell and put the necklace back in the bank (or sell it, if you're not a packrat like me).

Yeah, may as well get some undead destroying turns in there while they still work. Remember that it only affects a 2d6 + level hd (is that right?).

Any specced healbot cleric should be able to use the list below at levels below 8 and turn most undead with ease or at least scare the h3ll out of them enough to beat them down melee style. When all else fails... heal them, nimbus light or searing light. Once you get to Delara's pt 3, that is when you may find difficulties in your turning ability.

    eagle's splendor
    extra turning enhancement
    seek eternal rest
