    Default quick question - wands/pots

Have any other clerics abandoned wands in favor of stacks of pots for the various remove XXX, etc. things?

Mainly because they stack twice as high and it saves me a click.

I was thinking of keeping maybe remove fear and remove para wands in addition to pots (or maybe just going mana cast since it seems like once a blue moon you're glad to have them).

Can you count on other players having their own stacks?

I carry wands of remove cure, poison, disease, and paralysis. You shouldn't need Remove fear since GH makes you immune to it. If you were worried about backpack space I believe that most of these come on scrolls.

I still use wands on my cleric, simply due to the timer difference. It's a pain switching and all but sometimes you gotta de-curse more than once every 5 seconds.

I carry remove Cure on Pots now. Everything else is either spell or wand. The primary reason to carry pots is because you can cast it on an ally without switching the weapon (Or Wand/Scroll) in your hand. Thats espicially handy in VoD. Everything else is used so seldom its on woth the extra expense to carry on pots or scrolls.

That's pretty much my main reason. Pack space is still OK and I could trim some other fat if necessary. Based on Strake's comment I'll probably run dual mode on RC at least until I get a feel for things.

I made the transition over to potions lately, too. Being able to funnel them onto targets without taking up the same timer as a wand (while leveling, at least), or swapping out your weapon is very nice. A bar with 100 remove curse, neutralize poison, remove paralysis, cure blindness, etc. will save a lot of headaches. Good advice in this thread

I buy every one of my characters (including clerics) a full stack of all the specialty pots at level 1. Poison is the only one I usually ever have to restock. Occasionally curse but only on clerics.

The only spell forms of these I ever mem on a cleric is neutralize poison since there are time you want it to last for more than 6 mins.

Don't forget you can usually use them in pot form before you can even cast the spell.

You can use almost all of them on other people and you don't have to swap it into your weapon slot means less time to cast and less annoying as well (as others have mentioned)

Yes, I've abandoned wands if there is a potion in funnel form for it. Though they are cheaper than pots - they stack twice as high and I don't have to de-equip whatever is in my hand to use them. Even with the change to wand use coming...i'll still use pots when I can over wands. The only exception is remove curse - I have a stack of pots and a wand for that only.
