Hi, I'm a friend of feynman, who asked me to look for his posts; the search shows people quoting him, but nothing else shows up, unless it's on his computer. What gives?

And why exactly is he unable to check himself? Something sounds fishy to me. But it sounds like maybe they were eaten. And yes, the forum moderators do remove posts if and when warranted.

Your friend was spamming the boards whining posts that had little to no merit and was likely reported multiple times and had his posts deleted by the cube. Since that appears to have been his intent, he must be happy.

it's possible that he's been put on "Moderated" status, meaning his posts won't show up to anybody except himself until after being read and approved by the forums moderator.

even then, the posts won't show up for at least an hour or so, because the moderators have better things to do than peruse problematic posters' gripes. it will often be much longer than an hour, and posting on weekends might be a complete waste of time.

either way, I'm still glad somebody put a sock in it.

Yes, the ignore list prevents you from seeing what that person posts on the forum. But you will be able to see it if someone quotes them.

Interesting to see who has nothing better to do than pursue some petty vendetta, though.
