Where are the Loot weekends?

Not because of downtime or anything, but wondering where the good old 50% xp bonus and +1 loot weekends are????

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I reckon we haven't had one for at least 18 months or so.

Could be a good way to draw people back to game as well.

Something to do before next mod?

Make the grind worth it?

Level up some lowbies?

Every weekend is already a Loot weekend.

I've been an advocate of +1 loot tables inthe past. and I'm still not against them, but really, What is +1 really going to give us nowadays that isnt already there?

I tend to be an understanding and forgiving kinda guy. I don't see every server hiccup as needing some form of compensation from Turbine...

That being said, we've put up with an awful lot of server-side issues over the past few months. An inordinate amount of lag & shut downs has a very demoralizing effect on a paying community of players - and I think that last night's outrage was a perfect example. If we had stable servers, nary a hint of lag, and everything was running smoothly for months and months prior to last night's quad-outage - people would have been a lot more understanding and forgiving. But the reality is that people are getting tickeded off (rightly so) - and Turbine needs to do something other than Tolero posting "Sorry!" every **** time - multiple times a week.


I think we should get something... loot weekend, XP weekend, something. But, it's gonna take more than a dragonshard and a candy cane this time. Enough is enough - time for a meaningful mea culpa, Turbine.

How about a favor weekend. Unlock elite difficulty for all characters for a weekend, regardless of previous completion status. I know that we can all unlock just about if not everything in the game on elite with one toon or another, but the favor grind really comes to a crashing halt for me when there is infinate toon switching to unlock quests.

Either that or a No Raid Timer weekend?

I actually like the unlock elite idea. I have several chars that are in the same boat. I want to run favor, but I either have to do a lot of switching out(Impossible on chain quests) or drag along someone who can already open it.

Right now I don't think the servers could handle the amount of people that would come back to the game.

I think the idea of a "Welcome Back!" weekend should be on the cards, except remove the +1 loot portion and just keep the 'free login for old account holders' and '+50% exp'.

Kind of a "Hey look what we have done since release and here is what we are about to release with Mod 9" (kind of a sneak peek). I'd reckon there would be a few people who would pop back in to see what they have missed and a great way to promote what they have in stall.

I've done the loot weekends - hated them, 60 hours of total greed-fest.

Last time there was one going I did the bonus xp instead, now THAT was a lot of fun. I'll take another one of those please!

no loot weekend please we are way too monty haul as is...

xp weekend oh hecks yeah time to level another toon to cap that i will get bored with the grind (that ddo does not have according to the box) due to lack of content...

how about they schedule a "developers work all f-ing week and weekend to actually get some new content out" weekend...

XP weekend ... I have a few Characters to level up Just wait til I say its ok to have one... I hate missing out on events like that... but I also spend time with my SO and would not miss that for anything having to do with a video game

Now what would be really nice is a

20th Run Roll

All Characters are set to their 20th (or next higher multiple there of) Run on every Raid. This way no one misses out because of prior engagements. They just may be delayed until later.
