I will agree, I am about at the end of my rope with everything from server problems, constant lag, slow release of content and most importantly lack of communication (in any form) of things to hype this game.

Level 20 is near, it should be the biggest accomplishment of DDO and instead we get subtle capstone and prestige enhancements that lack any vision and at still a slow snail's pace of the giving out that information. Most are just continuation of the same with the occasional nerf bat.

We should be hearing about quests, storylines, epic tales and raids based on the new content for mod 9.

To me, imo, the lack of this type of hype only foreshadows late module release or something close to what we had in mod 8. Small amount of anything or nothing depending how you look at it.

My guess for mod 9's release is mid to late April. Till Turbine shows me some reason to keeping playing, my sub has already be canceled. I don't see a reason to come back till I know when the good stuff will be delivered. i'm tired of waiting.

Eladrin has said that Ftr capstone is 'Weapon Alacrity'. No details yet but all other 'alacrity' enhancements/spells/items add +10% attack speed.

Back on topic of the previews - haven't most been on Thursdays and as late as Fridays.

I don't know what Turbine is supposed to do about servers they PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO HOUSE AND KEEP LIVE. I mean really, thats like yelling at the gas station clerk for an oil shortage. But then again, the people here screaming are the people that yell at the blameless clerk.

way past edgy or caring about spoilers. if they dont (a) fix this incredibly soon, (b) offer some insane recompense, and/or (c) release mod 9 incredibly soon then im probably going to just let my sub run out in march and never look back. really would prefer at least 2 of those.

first, i guess Turbine can pay another entity more moolah to "house and keep live" the servers

second, keep on waving because pretty soon you will not have to worry about the servers at all because they will be turned off if Turbine keeps up its ****-poor customer service

But isn't it Turbine's responsibility to keep the game going and performing correctly? Thus, if the servers are hosted by someone else it's the responsibility of Turbine to ensure their chosen host performs to their standards.

I work as design professional for an engineering firm and when we sub-consultant out work to others the client doesn't respond to them, the client communicates through us becuase we are taking the responsibility to ensure the consultant performs to the satisfication of us and the client.

No it's more like calling tech support for your computer, finding out they've outsourced it all to India, and being mad at the original company that you couldn't understand the tech support so you couldn't fix the problem.

Pretty sure outsourcing is Turbine's fault.

Well it appears we're getting UI updates this week. Doesn't look like we're getting a PrE or capstone this week.

I have to say I'm more than a little disappointed.

Turbine has provided some new info regarding some map changes, loot all button etc, but one has to wonder if its just in response of the craptastic job of server hosting and crashes we have seen lately.

In a week, we will be back to the regularly scheduled show of no communication, daze of vast and mysterious ramblings....carry on.

Shrug. I have never been happy with the current weekly previews which were less then the old dev notes (the dev notes were great). This week's flurry of friday postings are less interesting then a weekly preview. Everybody assumes that the current lack of communication has to do with a change in Turbine policy to be less forward with information. I think the real reason is it may just be a lack of resources. The lack of DDO subscribers has to hurt the budget.
