Nice job all... I thought about joining that group for the challenge....

Then my selfish genes kicked in, and I decided I wanted to save that 50% exp bonus for when the level cap goes up

Yes congrats, I was on timer when I saw that raid building.

Doc Sin is my favorite leader.

I am curious how many times docsin has failed the shroud. With as many pug groups as he runs I would be vry interested to find out what his worst experience was? I am sure he has some good stories.

Agreed, he was the leader on my 1st (and only to this point) Shroud Run. Despite it being crazy at times, it seemed he still found time to explain things along the way.

I have been is some crazy fast runs with him like 28 minutes. I have also been in a couple 128 min runs. But only 1 failure, and that was because both clerics dced.

I've had the fortune of speaking with Doc on an occasion, one time recently where he was sharing his challenges of making a team or getting onto a team that successfully completes the shroud in good time.

He shared with me his avg time for creating a group and how many times he was on a group that failed. When I told him my avg time creating a group and the 3 failures (pugs each time) I have had in about 250 runs, I thought he was about to cry.

Seriously, what that man has been through on this raid alone would be enough to break most.

His persistence and dedication to making that run a good run for so many is to be admired and appreciated.

Trissa is the Tempest Spine shepherd and Docsin is that for the Shroud.

Always happy to run with ya bro, but there have been a few of your teams that made me scream a LOT... good thing I'm on push to talk.

But, they always say... the best leaders can take a pack of $&%^ and make it come out smelling like roses. Not sure if he can do that, but I've seen him pull a few %&$& teams through that raid.

Many people out there owe him for dragging them through that raid.

    Who knows?

However, was in the first one as well with the OP. Was quite fun and epic. Did another last night on my rogue, unfortunately, the clerics heals were taking the sp but not delivering the goods at the very beginning of part 4. Harry may be a CR 38 on elite, but the lag monster would have handed him his *** in a heartbeat.

Oh well, there's always another day.....

Part 2 was fun. All four times we killed them all.

I'm not terribly surprised to see this. I met Doc in Wild Bunch a while back. I've had some truly horrendous raid experiences with him, but I can't ever recall a time when it was his fault and when he didn't do absolutely everything within his power to make it a success.

I consider myself a fairly persistent person, but Doc puts the daggum Energizer Bunny to shame: he's still going and going long after I would have deleted all of my characters and gone all Office Space on my computer.

Aside from pure, brute determination he really does know how to get stuff done and, best of all, he's willing to teach anyone and everyone. I think it would be truly shocking to see how many raid firsts Doc has gotten people through. Thanks Doc

    - Locke

Edit: I forgot who the OP was; that shouldn't have been a surprise either. IMO it's players like Pete and Doc who make pugging a lot of fun (and often successful).

I do not post often, and when I do it is brutally honest. So here goes.

When Doc first started running shrouds I joined him many times and the groups always failed. Irritatingly miserable is a very good estimate on what I consider these first raids to be. I only joined when nothing else was going on, and I was bored. I probably had about eight failures in his groups in a row a first. I starting forming idealologies that doc was a poor player and a VERY poor leader. In other groups, guild chat, and ventrillo he was mocked as he had a shroud lfm up.

Then he starting getting the rare completion here and there, his party make-up improved. Still it was a grindfest to complete with him, though his leadership improved. I did unfortunately still have ill thoughts on him as a player.

Now after many failures he has an outstanding completion ratio. Still has the occasional failures, but hey he PUGS. You can expect that.

I am ashamed at myself to how I first thought of Doc. He has improved with leading a party expotentially and is truly a person I look forward to and enjoy shrouding with. He does deserve all the recognition he is aquiring. His tenacity and perseverance alone is worthy of great respect and admiration even in the realms of the powergamng community. It is the stuff that once made my homeserver of Xoriat great to play on.

I do hope if he reads this he does not get the wrong impression on what I am trying to say. I'm honestly not that great with words.
