    Talking Masterwork Theatre

Great show Jerry. I tried a half dozen harvests of that elusive Bloodstone after listening to the show. No joy.

In case anyone would like to see the words to the Masterwork Theatre ditty so they don't have to try and figure them out form my warblings, here they are:

I Am the Very Model of a Modern Battle Clerical

I am the very model of a modern battle clerical.
My paradox of strength and faith drives party folk hysterical.
Prepared to lay the smacketh down in manner most barbarical,
While nasty spells glance off my blue translucent hemi-spherical.
I’m very well acquainted too with my great spirituality.
You casters may receive one of my three divine vitalities.
Those feats of metamagic like empower heal or maximize,
Were sacrificed to make me multi-weapon super specialized.

I’m very good at tanking and all other fine combatery.
So don’t expect a heal or buff or other trifle flattery.
My paradox of strength and faith drives party folk hysterical.
I am the very model of a modern battle clerical.

I show my mythic running pace while parties trail in back of me.
Barbarians and rangers need the map to keep their track of me.
My space for healing wands or scrolls or other items so inane,
Was filled with deadly weapons of most every greater monster bane.
My hit points number twenty score, my spell points almost half of this.
I like to get my jollies running naked though Necropolis.
Then I can cast a blade barrier which might not hurt as much as yours.
I much prefer my acid-splashing flaming green steel bastard sword.

Then I can greater trip a wolf or spider, wraith or scorpion.
And if its got a head I’ll go dual-wield and start a vorpalin’.
My paradox of strength and faith drives party folk hysterical.
I am the very model of a modern battle clerical.

In fact I have some problems when I post my standard LFG.
No battle clerics needed here? Methinks they are all scared of me.
I watch their health bars carefully as they all drop to none at all.
I can’t cast heal because my build relies on harm and cometfall.
Two other spell which failed my cut--Raise Dead and Resurrect-she-un
Left slots to make me damage-dealing clerical perfect-she-un.
In short my choices all are great, there isn’t too much more to teach.
You’ll find no better build to play inside the walls of Storm-a-reach.

However, when I’m bloody I will say that there is some appeal,
To have some other gracious party chap throw me a proper heal.
My paradox of strength and faith drives party folk hysterical.
I am the very model of a modern battle clerical!

I enjoyed this one. I think I will break down and put all of the Masterwork Theatres so far (all three) on the www.lessah.com site somewhere.

Yeah, level 14 for the weapons, 12 for a few of them. I've going to be able to dual wield paralyzers, plus I've got some banishers and disrupters sitting there. Level 13 is actually for a few items that I'm waiting to add. Con, strength, dex items and the like.

    (one hazy realization later....)

Oh.... Yeah, and you too, Jerry.

Regarding your PD experience .. would that be ironic that you died on the same Arcane that you previously had a problem with the tactics we used to kill it?

Agreed - nice show guys - DDOCast makes my Monday mornings I little more bearable.

To anyone new to running for a bloodstone it sometimes ain't as bad as Jerry's luck

Like all named loot its hit and miss...

I've seen a guy run for them for 2 years and never get one then get 2 in back to back runs...

I've pulled 2 on consecutive days

I've seen 2 drop in the same chest for different players

    Good luck to ya....

That's true. The irony has definitely occured to me. I still wouldn't be in a PD group which used targeting inconsistency to beat the arcane. If I'm doing PD, it's because I want a pure experience, without using some "tactics" that take away from that experience. Same thing with using "safe spots" and other ways to beat tough opponents without any sort of risk. Ultimately, in the future if I can't beat it I'll just skip the arcane! Actually, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to beat with a few folks in there. I was going solo when I died.

I don't farm the bloodstone like some do, but I've probably hit those chests a hundred times with no luck!

Knowing how many CDG has looted I'd say it's more of a case of CDG getting all of Jerry's luck.

I'm with you though Jerry - still haven't actually looted one myself yet (got the one I do have via trade some time ago before that added the seeker damage).
    Just some dude...

Hard to be in a group when you are dead.

Manual targeting? Considering this is a FPS, sounds legit to me.

Let's add a little clarity. They are called "perches" and of the time of the writing of this post are approved by Turbine. Your guilt-free solution to the difficult part by simply skipping it has a flaw: the perching method is still not 100% safe. You could still be held spawning the Arcane, or the Arcane could fall down and target you.

Also, something you probably didn't consider is that often folks in PD guilds have to solo if they want to play. The leader of that group was actually showing you one way to do it, so that when you were solo, you could. Do people do it that way every single time? Not in my experience.

Making your own solo PD guild with yourself as the only member is probably the only way to guarantee this. PD is what it is, and has been for over 2 1/2 years. Actually I lied, there is another way. Use your influence with Turbine and tell them to make quests which consist of nothing but a large square room with some monsters and a chest.

edit: Very nice Clakenbeard. Last remake I"ve heard of that was back in Reboot season 3. Good work.

Jerry... did itunes or something mess up or did you mean to have something after you finished with your standard ending/opening theme? There was about 5-6 odd minutes of technoish accostical stuff it seemed tacked to the end of the cast.

Yeah, I couldn't understand them all either. There were more than a couple slips where I just kinda flubbed through and hoped nobody noticed. First off, I can't sing. Second, I can't do a Scottish accent. It is only natural to assume a Clanktastrophe will ensue once I made the decision to combine the two.

Thanks Missig Mids! (I left the 'n' out of your name too.) Holy guacamole! Somebody besides me watched Reboot? I loved that show! Dot was soooo hot! Megabyte was awesome. Bob's hair was dumb.
