    Default Crafting in Meridia...PLEASE...?

Hey Dev's.... as a more "Casual" player. I'd like to be able to craft in Meridia.
    Why?
1st- I play 4-5 days a week, 4-5 hours per, the time I have to play is valuable. When I get in a good Shroud run, more often or not, the group wants to run a 2nd or 3rd Shroud back to back. I don't get the Luxury of Crafting at my speed...I have to pull up the planner, figure out what I want..then craft. What happens? I end up 'Tooning' to jump in another Shroud... and haven't crafted.

2nd- Best laid plans... sometimes don't work out. Even when I think I'm ready, at the last minute, I (or other players) end up switching "Toons" to fill the party as needed. These runs usually happen with what I need sitting in the Bank.

3rd- Even when all the stars are aligned.... you end up missing ONE ingredient, and everyone has left... leaving you Craft-less.

PROPOSAL- Allow ONE Level of Crafting (at the Alter in Meridia) after a Shroud Completion and you didn't Craft. Get your Completion, Log out or run something Else, come back grab what you need from the Bank and Go craft ONE TIER. If you need 1 more Scale, you would be able to aquire one thru a trade or the AH.
"Free" Crafting would NOT Stack... meaning, if you got your one Free Crafting Session, 3 days go by and you don't Craft and run another Shroud, complete and don't Craft; you'd still only have ONE Free Crafting Session available.

A character is only rarely going to want to craft an item. It's not an everyday thing, so some special planning isn't undue.

When you want to make one, send all the ingredients to the character who wants to use it, and keep them there. Then whenever that guy happens to complete a Shroud raid, stay behind at the end and go craft. In the unlikely event you screwed up and don't have enough ingredients, try again in 3 days.

    Default Craft as you go?

I had the toon switching problem a few times as well... so now I often "craft as I go". Hence I'll make all the secondary ingredients possibly before having the shard or item ready for them. Obviously it means I have to follow through with initial plans, but it also means I never need to use the altars more than a few clicks to build each tier.

It is too bad that they did not set it up that you could re-enter the quest to craft so long as you did not reset the quest. I think that would be ok - especially if you keep some ingredients in the bank or other characters.

There have been threads on this before and I may be reiterating an idea I saw before.

What I would like though would to be able to get and actually use the Essence of Cleansing all in the same run. I guess I'd be ok with being able to use the Cleansing Essence in Meridia. I'd /sign that.

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

**** I would hate to see how many hours you would play if you were serious! 20 hours a week is a part-time job!

/signed also though...would be nice to have a alter to make the essences, and gems and such so it would take less time when in the quest! Just no full on item upgrading IMO

Traveling Salesmen.... I play in the evening from a Hotel 2 nights a week. The problem with that...While Hotel Internets are at best 'Ok' for gaming... Trying to run the Game AND be on the internet (using the Crafting Calculator) is a bit taxing.

I'd even be okay with being able to 'mix' ingredients in Meridia... having the (3) made items ready for the Shroud for Crafting on the way or at Completion.

And as far as "rarely crafting".... if you have 6 'Alts' in the Shroud and at the least 2 weapons and 1 Item for Each to make, that's 18 items. Sure, you're not going to Craft every time in.... but with 3 days between completions, if you don't get a chance to Craft while you're in there... that's another 3 days you'll have to wait. It adds up pretty quick.

Crafting should be brought out into the open, instead of hidden off in a Raid.

It was argued by many people from the beginning that you should be given a way to craft outside of the raid once you had completed it once. It makes you life easier and makes sense from a story perspective.

Things are a lot better now that you can go back and finish crafting after the raid ends - the delays from "crafting as you go" were horrible sometimes and it lead to mistakes as people rushed so as to not hold the group up.

Still...putting a chamber outside the raid that you could only access after completion would be convienient and I can't see any gameplay downsides. (How about one of those spare locked rooms in the 12?)
