I know nothing about the market. I just make trades based on what satisfies me, so sorry if this is too much. I may can sweeten the deal some.

i'm not flaming, just telling you that most people will want sweeteners, and proabbly a decent amount if it is a short sword, a little less for a dagger. talk to your guildies, and friends try not to get raked over the coals. WoP heavy repeater is good, but not being able to add str to it to bypass dr makes it a little less valuable.

I think you'll get your trade eventually, just keep asking around someone has to be looking for that weapon.

what he said is true though, ranged weapons are the least efficient way to deal con damage, however if you add large ingredients to the mix someone will trade with you i believe.

Are you talking about a Wounding weapon only (per the OP) or a Wounding of Puncturing Weapon (per the Subject line). It makes a difference. I'd think a +1 Wounding Heavy Repeater (with the proficiency feat of course) would do better than an equivalent melee wounder at low levels.

bro, you are not correct on your assesment of the value of a WOP repeater on the correct build (ie improve prec shot) just mows down rows and rows of stuff, a single dagger in my opionion is <wop repeater.......... and I have 4 wop rapiers, 5 ss and 2 wop repeaters... now sue a dual wop build will kill faster, but a single for single is a good deal for the right player.. dont bash this trade offer, infact he could be offering a good deal to the right player

sir, you are directing that comment toward someone who has both a toon with a w/p repeater, and another toon that dual weilds a w/p dagger and a punc rapier.

the cmv of a w/p dagger is 1000k plat. the cmv of a w/p ss is 2000k plat. im guessing the repeater falls somewhere between 500k-750k plat, assuming u can even find someone who wants one. in general, the well-to-do in this game tend toward more effective fighting styles, and those are the people that will have lots of plat, or a w/p dagger for trade.

ps. ranged combat, in all forms, is weaksauce.

Sorry my friend cannot agree with you. Sometimes melee w/p better...sometimes ranged w/p better. From point of view tempest ranger with high ac rapier/shortsword is better. But if you play squishy without ac then better stay away in range. For rogue sneak attack damage work against DR.

Take example of reaver . Do you prefer to range elementals with bow or repeater or try to poke them with w/p rapier and finding yourself knocked on the butt every 2 seconds ? Sneak attack doesn't work on elementals but if party have bard or I use damage boost I usually have no problem to hit them ( knockdown immunity also helps). On normal I probably don't need any of those but ppl seems to want do it on elite always. Casters are not the only ones who kill elementals nowadays, isn't it ?

I also liked to run in SOS with repeater...so many targets for improved precise shot. With new lvl cap thinking to go extra 4 fgt level and specialize kensai for repeaters so I can get extra damage to overcome DR ( every little helps).

About prices. Not sure. I know one guy who had barbarian with repeater back in time with 13-20 crit range. Was fun to see how he banish 3 renders in one shot in Invaders. ( barb crit range nerfing now) So he paid 2 w/p SS back in time. Did he overpaid ? Probably but it was worth it for him. I traded w/p ss and 2 scales almost year ago for w/p repeater ..I am still happy. I know DfC was trying to sell his +3 w/p repeater for 1500-2000k plat but don't think he succeed. No reason to pay extra for +3 if you can get +3 bolts.

So this weapon have a niche same like +15 intimidate items...for some ppl it's junk for other ppl it's treasure.
