New raid(s)

Well, i, for one, am hoping for more than one raid with the new mod coming out. Now we already know that there will be a Pirate King Raid, any ideas on the other one or two raids?

Go listen to DDOCast um... 100 I think... the one where everyone shoots the kobold dung with the devs for a few hours. The raids are in Shavarath... So it better be the Devil/Demon Pirate King or Burning Pirate King or Arretreikopirate King.

I think the Pirate King raid is being released in the paid expansion being sold on Amazon in December of 2007.

Thats what my sources have told me. Though I am not at liberty to discuss any more.

Also Disney is trying to get the rights to make a movie for this mod.

actually the raid is called troll mountain and the end boss hurls insults at you until you cry or wet your pants, the quest starts of at the end of tangleroot gorge you are teleported the the troll kingdom were they strip you down to your skiveys while calling you noobs and noobetts, you are givin a weapon called the toothpick 2inch stick with a blunt end this is all you have to fight cr30 mobs with so dont break it. the quest ends when you stick the toothpick up the trolls b... i mean nose or you wet your pants and have to start over. dont know if there is more than 1 raid in mod 9

Okay... so here's what I envision they've done with the mega-raid for Mod 9:

Okay... think prison of the mind'ish layout... now quadruple the size.... now remove the ladders and add jets of fire in a Pit Mario style that you have to hop on to get higher and higher.... now give the fire some pure-evil damage just so you can't resist it all away.... Now add Orthons, Devils, Reavers, Winged Devil's, Mephits, Pit Fiends... then put the Pirate Ship En Fuego at the top as the boss fight... though you have to venture around the map while others fight him... possibly finding his piratical gear. Also... Donkey Kong will be rolling barrels at you the entire time.

It's almost too easy.

Nah, it'll be Yar Yar's revenge. Yar Yar is now the pirate king himself and has returned as an undead dracolich trapped in hobgoblin's body.

Didn't I read an article quoting Turbine as saying that the player base didn't want any raids? Thought that was why we didn't get one last mod...
