How many of you other WF get multiple procs on your DoD?

On my staple barb, his DoD that he's had for a very very long time, will proc once, and not reproc until the first effect is over. Never, not once have I seen defiance proc again until the original effect expired on this guy.

And with my mutt newer barb, I THINK I've seen his defiance proc and reset the timer. And I've been told by other forum goers that this is the case with theirs.

So which category do the rest of you sex bots fall in?

The Docent of Defiance only goes off if you take physical damage. If the critters can't breach a DR 20, then it won't be able to reproc while you have the effect going.

As far as how often... for me it goes in streaks. Sometimes it seems broken and never goes off. Sometimes its going off every few seconds. Sometimes it goes off as I'm featherfalling over lava and the slow movement effect pretty much means I can't get out of the way of the lava, slowly plunging to my fiery doom.

It's random, but I know when this was brought up on the forums before, I made it a point to watch to see if it reprocs while the defiance is going. I did notice that it does. It may be rare though, I don't know. I just know that it worked for me when I was watching for it.

But my original barb has NEVER had it reproc, not during pit fiend fights, or tanking Sulu in VoD. You'd think in 20++ times of main tanking VoD that this effect would reproc during itself if it was capable of it. And I know that Sulu and Harry both are capable of getting thru 20/-

I have never had my 20 second timer shoot back up to 20 seconds without it first ending its duration normally (unlike Madstone Rage). This has always been true. Also, I've had DoD proc without taking damage (for instance, while shield blocking). All it takes is getting hit with a physical attack.

glad to know I'm not the only one

it does irk me tho that the docent seems to work differently on different characters

My monk/wizard, ranger/bard, pure sorcerer, and barbarian/rogue/fighter have all had the defiance effect reapply while under the defiance effect.

I just kinda assumed that it was always capable of reapplying because I've never had issues otherwise.

it has a 1% chance to proc if you get hit that is wether you take damage or not



A tip if you like doing rainbow or mount reyson let 2-5 bats follow you and bite you they do no damage because difiance absorbs their 9 - 13 damage and it keeps you proc'd on the docent

so all you have to do is keep getting hit not keep taken damage for the proc to happen

with the 5 bats hitting 5 times 1% 5% reproc a second thats 100% proc chance for 20 seconds so you stay proc'd with 5 bats biting you

i have been hit by archers and bats for 0...stoped 13 points of damage and it reproc'd

1% chance just is hard to test

but ive had it proc when i was hit for 0

but at times it seems like it's never off.

oddly enough on my main, neither my defiance or madstone will reproc until they're expired. But his VoD bracers will. While my other barb the defiance will retrigger (dont have either other item to test on him yet, more of a shroud mule now)

On my wf wizzy in pvps fights it would proc during another one, reseting the timer. Would sometimes have it going on for minutes.
