Running Weekly Elite Shrouds

Not fast enough, lol. Poor Aegean lost a bunch of AH bids while we were in, lol. Honestly without afks and such it coulda been a sun 1 hour run. Was actually a really good group, clerics did an awesome job and didn't blow through too many resources... except Aegean, lol. But we do donate quite well to our clerics. I'd say most of the clerics actually profited 4-6 mana pots from the run, one said he only used 1. We gave each cleric like 8-9 pots

Would be more for the fun/challenge mate. When i can finally get back online, ie another week or two i will be either joining or running some myself, more just want to get the favour for it than anything else.

You do get some loot that you wouldn't nomally get, but it's mostly foir fun, challenge and favor as Seld said. I already have elite on all my toons I'm just extending my hand to help others. Although 12 lvl 19 chests in an hour ain't bad.

It is good to see that pug runs of elite shroud are accepted as doable. Personally I was happy to get my sorc's goggles up to tier 2 way back just post mod 7 hehe so I'm no where near up to the elite stuff.

That said, even way back when the shroud was difficult enough on normal, not undoable certainly but not easy. Just how hard -is- shroud on elite in comparison with that? I would think you would need everyone decked out with good quality tier-three items, preferably with all the tanks dual weilding 2 dual-shard items or ect. At that point I would think it would become a breeze :P But still, is it really doable -without- at least half the group having some good maxed out shroud-crafted items?

I will offer this is more a need to satisfy my curiosity more then anything. I am sure its doable, as the OP seems to have done it before. More just a 'so how hard is it?' How many passes on harry is expected on elite? Should you even bother to bring in a sorc/wizzy at all? ect.

Btw good luck with it, i hope you all succeed, or have some nice stories to share on the boards even if you don't.

Elite is definitely tougher, things hit harder, Arris DR is 60 so you have to bypass DR and he has 10 more AC on elite as well. I haven't failed an elite ru in my last 20 tries(knock on wood) so it's definitely not THAT hard, just have to have teamwork....

Yep, was very fun.............no one would take my plat at end either. Varrr is my least favorite toon and therefore modestly equipt. With solid communications/lead..........a solid supply of resources/pots/scrolls/apporpriate weapons, even softies like my fat bastard Varrr can get a complete. Thanks for the run, and will offer up one of my better toons in a future run! Hehehe, Vara might be enticed to Rogue it up!

My hotbars are always a mess, lol. I don't even know how I'm capable of playing at a competent level with bars like mine.

Now, when I mentioned having no luck in The Shroud, I meant pulling the elusive 'Shard of Power'. I could almost never get one while playing my cleric. On that run, I was given TWO. Many thanks to Soroden and Varr (I think).

That run was a lot of fun. I like groups like that where you can have fun, joke around, and still get things done. I hope to make it on more of these runs. Nice snap-shot, too.

Possible hint: Use the command to hide the UI so that nothing obscures the pic. I've tried it.

Using alt z also gets rid of the names , Or else I would use it. I Want people to see who's hanging out in the elite shroud parties.

I know, and I gotta pick on ya for no force or MM, lol. You're actually the reason I put that in there, wanted to see what you'd say . Although on casters I don't know those spells are a necessity. Exceptions could be made if I know a persons abilities.

I've gotten to the point where I repeat it 5 times just to make sure they're not ********,or deaf, lol. We get some deet -da-deets sometimes.
