Running Weekly Elite Shrouds

When i have finished moving and gotten things setup again, i would like to come along if you have spots free, got 6 at the moment that need shroud on elite, plus i like the challenge

Hi - i would like to bring Brisket (cleric) or Redleaf (rgr)

Redleaf has dual w/p rapiers for first three and holy greater evil outisder bow plus silver and favored for 4 and 5 (yeah only hits great on many shot but no healing required at least - he can help heal with adherrants pendant when many shot off or jump in and melee - up to you)

Brisket is healing specc'd

When do you roll?

magic missile and force missile are the only 2 guaranteed hits for a caster.

You know lightning also does red numbers against the Pit Fiend and way much more damage. If you target the Pit Fiend (like you must do for forced/magic missles) your chain lightning will not miss and since the Pit Fiend really does not move much in part 4 and 5 if you have a caster missing with his ball lightning and lightning spells he probably should not be doing Shroud on elite either.

You obviously don't know what I'm talking about. When pulling a lieutenant the only spells that will never hit any target but the one you aim for are MM and FM. I know all about what hits arri, and on elite, he saves on 90% of the lightning bolts and cones of cold you throw at him. I said the only spells that are a "guaranteed hit" . wasn't talking about what hurts Arri, I could care less about the caster in part 4 and 5 except for acid fogs and CK

Lol, gimp! take magic missile and get rid of a junk spell. And on elite I have caster ranger cleric on elemental, but I like to make sure the elemental gets pulled and not something else, magic missile and force missile are the only 2 guaranteed hits for a caster. Got over a 90% success rate on elite, and my 2 failures were really early on, probably 20 straight victories. Will it kill you to swap a lvl 1 or lvl 4 spell, force missile is lvl 4. Swap back to your junky spell 3 days later

Maybe you can give me some advice:

I typically just range in 4 and 5 because i dont want to be a heal sponge. This was my first ranger - a 28 point build that has 24 str and 36 dex now.

hitpoints i think are 360 or so and ac buffed is in mid 50s - i have upgraded rapier

Would he basically be a one shot dead guy if he was in close?

Maybe it is time to respec for ac and get the rainments etc...

It's all good I like having a person or 2 that are ranged specced for part 5 . Like I've been telling everyone , I have no guaranteed spots have to fill on class needed basis after taking the guildies in. But you'll be welcome if there's room.

Just so people know , this is the party makeup I'll be going on the elite shroud with... 3 clerics, 1 bard 1 caster 7 melee. That's just what I like to take for my own comfort level. The caster Spot is taken this week.... by me

I plan on putting LFM up at 11:15 and actually starting by 11:30. Hopefully Aegean is not the only one to bring a cleric and I don't have to wait forever for the other 2.

Yah I plan on bringing Umpa if I get up early enough, stupid 2nd shift. 11:30 start would work, anything later and it might go too long before I have to get ready for work. Oh and got a new item I'll be using so we'll see how the crits work out now.

yea it was fun only my 2nd completion on elite everyone did really well
