BTW: learn to build better because building around loot/enhancements is a very stupid thing to do.
...and you made the cheerleading squad!

Do you seriously expect to prove anything using convoluted logic? We were told how the handwraps are intended to work; that has been clear from the get-go. The fact that they didn't do what they said they did is quite clearly the definition of a bug.

The minos did what it said it was supposed to, and only after they added racial toughness so that any class could get enhancement HP did they call it a bug and decide to fix it.

Now, "balance" would be if they said, "Well, we didn't mean for that to happen, and it has overpowered this class in this way, so in the next update, we will either change it back and allow everyone of that class to respec, or we will give offsetting advantages to other classes."

Again, the whole issue revolves around the fact that casters almost never have the toughness feat, while almost every melee character does; in that sense, this change pretty much only affects casters.

P.S.: I find it hilarious that you think that my build abilities are in any way deficient; my cleric isn't very good, but it was my first character. My hybrid is unbelievably tough, and my monk was one of the few accepted to shroud runs after the class came out. The sorc was a great build.

You are 1,000,000% wrong Feynman. They said it was a bug the day that they put them in as people were discovering the bug that day. Eladrin said it back then and then reiterated it in this thread but you refuse to listen.

"made the squad"? Honey go check back, I am a founding member of the squad but it has nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing(which I have also done) with Eladrin on this. We were told a long time ago this was a bug.

Funny my caster not only has the feat but also a high CON. After all HPs are great but high concentration check is priceless.

As for your builds you yourself called them gimped because of this FIX, which means you can't build a good build without cheating.

Again, my character predates that; dates aside, you can't search for bugs that you don't know about.

You couldn't pick up the extra 20HP until Octoboer 29th.

So, at most, you didn't know about it until a month later.

There is a very distinct possibility, that we have a 1 person, 2 accounts situation. I guess twins are not out of the question either.

Okay but does this post predate your character?

And based on your reply to the other link then you are finally acknowledging this as a bug and now we just have to get you to understand that ignorance of the law/rules/bugs is no excuse.

You can do a very simple search for Minos and find out that it is not functioning correctly, no matter what your character creation dates are - just take a little initiative, a few mouse clicks, minimal typing, and some reading skills. Do not even have to do that, just some basic in-game experience can show that Minos was bugged - and not even experience with Minos!

The information was and still is there for the reading as has been posted here many times. Either this information was not sought after or ignored.

I feel real sorry for you, honestly, that you believe the DEVs are 'cheaters' and the MOD's are censors over this trivial and minor issue. We agree to play by their rules, which are subject to change, each and every time we log in. If you do not like the rules to the game you are playing, no matter what game, it is best to find a new game.

I hope you can overcome this long awaited bug fix and continue to adventure in Stormreach. If this fix to an outstanding bug is to much for you to bear, I will simply wish you the best of luck in your future adventures.

    End of line.

The game should never stay the way it is now, it should change over time and evolve.
I'm not saying that the game shouldn't change, I've never said that, but there are changes that I don't agree with.

Honestly I don't see it as a fix. Also I might add there are several people in this world that didn't have things turned out how they envisioned and now we are a world full of great new products and medicines. Maybe this is not something that was envisioned, but it worked ok by my standards.

Yes, unless they would like to add something so I could re spec. my characters so I don't have to re roll them. I'm interested in progressing forward, not starting back near the beginning because of a small change.

I mean look at how much I play Lockwood now, even if I got everything that I needed for him to catch up with the new characters that have come out due to the changes, he would only be half way decent. It's not like I can re focus all of his stats or change his class. The only thing I can do is delete a few characters and re roll him or roll up a new character on another server, get 1750, re make Lockwood on that server and pay the $25 to have him transferred back home. Which looks to be my best option depending on any further developments. And the only reason I would think about doing that is because he's my main, he's the closest to the fantasy character that I want to play, however playing a gimp is not that fun.

Ignorance of something that we cannot possibly know is no excuse? Well, I'm not allowed to use the "C" word in connection to the devs anymore, so let's just say that anyone who believes that is a moron.

Default OK Folks This is Moot!!

Ok This whole thread and arguement is moot, trying to have an intellectual debate with someone who has the aggregate IQ of a pithed hamster is futile at best. He has proven throughout this thread he knew that the Minos Helm effect was not working as intended, case in point he quit playing his sorceror build. Then when the racial toughness enhancements went live, then and only then, did he revisit this build with the broken Minos Helm and decided it was a valid build. He sits here and tries to claim that I didnt know or the devs never supposedly claimed this was a bug even though others have given him proof to the contrary. In CONCLUSION, those of us who was born with the good sense our maker gave us, knows the Minos Helm was a bug and that now that there is more abusers of said bug, eg: OP they have made a decison to fix said bug. To the OP I will not stooop to saying you need to not build gimped characters based on known bugs, however I am gonna say that any character that is based entirely on the effects of gear, by definition is a less than optimal build.

If your sorc was a great build he'd still be great even with the loss of 18 hps. If your sorc was a great build but those 18 hps will somehow make him gimp if he doesn't have them then you can afford to loose a feat to take toughness and then your build would be even better because you'll have an extra 20!

18 hps does not ruin a great build, heck it doesn't even ruin a crappy one.
