    Default Cleric Ranger Build?

Has anyone tried to splash cleric with ranger or has any build ideas they would like to share?
To me it seems to be a successful build you would have to trade too many lvl’s of cleric for this build to be viable.
Of course would most likely not want to use ranged weapons but short swords and rapiers.

First off, you have to decide if you want this build to be a primary healer or not. If the answer to that question is yes, then remember you need 18 cleric levels for tier 3 enhancements. I'd argue that is non-negotiable. If you don't want to be a primary healer, then yeah, anything is fair game and I'd guess Cleric 12 / Monk 2 / Ranger 6 would be a great build.

Second, just how "Rangery" do you want to be? I'd argue Cleric 18 / Monk 2 with TWF feats on an Elf is your best shot at being a TWF type that can also be a full blown cleric. Cleric 18 / Fighter 2 is also very viable, but lacks Evasion in exchange for more useful feats. Cleric 18 / Ranger 2 is a net loss of 1 feat no matter how you look at it. It's whether you want that second feat (Fighter) or evasion (Monk) instead.

Thanks for the info, you pretty much summarize the deal in its entirety. It seems monk is the route to go without losing too much heal power.

a Guildy plays a 14Cleric/2 Ranger that is Ranged focused. In stead of taking clericy feats, he took ranged feats (Including manyshot) and does a great job adding damage via a Lightning strike bow.

My favorite build so far if you are more interested in melee and defense then cleric abilities.
