Gol is just prejudiced, he only builds dwarves and warforged. He'd make up any excuse to allow him to play his favored race, Dwarves.

I like the build as well, but I also like the halfling varient for some additional AC, and increased saves with the luck enhancements. I also think an elf makes great since with the racial enhancements for long swords and rapiers.

The thing is, this build should be good with just about any race. I think it really does come down to preference.


And yes, I am biased towards Dwarves

I also noticed you are missing Empower - Maximize - Extend; and IMO those are truly a must for Mega Mass Healing and BB´s / Searing Light of course.

swapping empower healing for maximize would take care of that problem, imo.

I was going diplo on this clerics skills.

reasoning: I've been leveling two guys lately and i've had to fight the **** cleric in Crucible more often than not. So i figured hey, Diplo.

I rerolled into concentration for those times i don't have qiucken on


Oh and guys, Verb isn't trying to make a battle cleric that uses earing light and blade b arrier as the main atack forms, he uses twin kopeshes. The blade barriers and Searing lights and such are just add ons for his damage. his weapon DPS is the most important. thats why there aren't as many empower max type feats

still, with maximize you still have the great mass cure spells and bb's if needed.

Maximize effects mass heals? Empower doesn't. I figured Maximize wouldn't either.

yes Maximize does in fact work on mass heals, however the only time i have used maximize in the shroud for my mass heals, i ran out of juice real quick. empower healing and timing of your spamming is more impotant IMHO


FWI my cleric does have near 1800 sp too, so its not like i only have 1000 sp or something.

You can't seriously expect the devs to be that stupid. They simply can't give Fortification to substantial numbers of boss mobs without nerfing both Frenzied Berserker, and the entire Rogue class.

Yeah, I have Emp Healing in the build for that purpose. In the time it takes to kite mobs through BB, dual Khopeshes will dish out 4 times as much DPS with none of this saving for half/none/evasion bull-doodoo.

Exactly. And doesn't it follow that he is a significant Boss monster that reduces the effectiveness of rogues and barbarians by taking away sneak attack damage and the extra non-effect damage from a critical hit? Being undead and all. Do you see where I am going with this?

If you are talking about Mass Heal (CLE9), then true, Maximize shouldn't affect. However, we didn't have that spell yet at the moment ... if we talking about MCLW (CLE5), MCMW (CLE6), MCSW (CLE7), MCCW (CLE8), it works (As well as Empower )

Since I do have all of them on various cleric, (Some with Maximize only, one with Maximize and Empower, another with Maximize and Empower Healing), I would like to point it out -- in term of effectiveness, Maximize Mass Cure do provide equally effectiveness as Empower Healing Mass Cure; but keep this in mind the sp spending and the hp healing amount per cast was different. So if you use mass cure with Maximize, since you heal more via your mass cure, you shouldn't cast it as frequently as what you do with Empower Healing.

I gotta agree that throwing les heals does work to save the sp for maximize, but i was planning on taking the line of empower healing APs. It makes it much cheaper, especially once you get the hound necklace for a hot swap. with your con item. it sounds a bit risky, but with evasion i wouldn't mind doing it in the shroud. I think it basically comes down to play style preference there. I think the empower healing would work best for my playstyle, because i like to REALLY spam my heals int here, as the lag generated by most groups i am in is pretty heavy, and i can't afford to have tanks dying to my heals misfiring, so lots of them need to go out.
