    Default Icy Rainment drop rate?

How about a drop rate somewhere the present rate and the special rate we had in the Subterrane those few days a while back? We just did multiple runs in the Subterrane and not one of the twelve people pulled it. I can see not getting it myself through ransack but I would at least like to see one or two people get it to keep my hopes up .

Default No Longer in the Loot Tables

At least, that's what it seems like. Out of 8 characters ransacked, 0 raiments dropped for the entire raid group. We saw a lot of Maces of Smiting, some Dwarven Throwers, and even a few Sunblades, but no Icy Raiments.

I second the call for a DropRate reply from one of the Developers, in PM if need be.

I've also ran 30+ runs in the sub since the drop rate was modified to help guildies get theirs and I haven't seen them drop once. I wonder if it's just better to do GOP runs again for the rainments instead of these runs.

    Default An Idea

    Concerning drop rates.

Why not eliminate drop rates all together?

DDO could put a vendor in, lets House P's general vendor shop that sold all end rewards and desired chest drops from all quests. Instead of running a quest for said items we could puchase them for the right amount of gold. Then we could all stand around the theater in House P and show off our uber items and weapons.

When someone nut job recommends to run a quest we all respond with why just go to the House P vendor and buy said item then come back here and show it off.

Wow, I didn't think it could be that bad. Come to think of it, I haven't seen any +2 tomes either. In general I think if you go to the effort of putting a raid size group together, there should be a reasonable chance at some nice loot. Other than the IR and +2 tomes, I wouldn't say anything that drops there is useful except for low levels. Maybe add a chance for some other rare to high level named loot? It would be nice if you had a remote chance at a Royal Guard Mask or a Bloodstone for example.

Personally, I thought the drop rate was way too high before.

As for a "raid sized group"...There is absolutely no need for a raid group to kill him (well, maybe if yer permadethers). In fact, it only requires about the same group to run GoP...and takes 5 mins less to run than GoP. If the drop rate was equal to GoP, I would say it is still too high (since you CAN run it with a raid for double the chance to drop).

Ok, better numbers regarding this. Last night our guild ran this loot run ~10 times with the group being 8-10 people each time so approximately 90 pulls from the chest. In that we had the rainments drop two times, which may have just been lucky on our part. Lots of other items dropped from the chest including 3-4 Dwarven Throwers, 2-3 Sun Blades, luck blades, etc. No +2 tomes dropped but my cleric did pull a banishing ss of puncturing from the chest (min level 14) so +2 tomes should also be able to drop from that chest.

Loot on everything has pretty much dried up. I have done two hounds in a row with the utter absence of raid items.

Icy Rainments is among items I pretty much never expect to see.

I don't have any reliable feedback...just wanted to brag that I personally looted both of the Raiments I own, 3rd run seems to be the charm.

I think some people have luck, and some don't. My guild leader has a complete set of +2 tomes for when the next character class or race comes into the game. Now he does have anti-luck getting Tumbleweed for his ranger, and that amuses us to no end. Perhaps on his 60th hound. We'll see.....
