Default What are recommended Wizard gear...i.e boot, belts, etc.

What kind of gear (i.e. boots, belts, headgear, etc. etc.) should I be looking for with my Wiz?

Assuming you mean endgame; this would be an excellent set up:

    Head - Minos Legen
    Necklace - Silver Flame
Trinket - Head of Good Fortune
    Cloak - Napkin
Belt - Disease Immunity of GFL Belt
    Ring1 - Con6
Ring2 - Swap slot for all the garbage
    Boots - Shroud SP Item
    Gloves - VOD
    Bracers - VOD
Armor - Dragon Touched with multiple useful combos
    Hand 1 - Sup Pot 6
Hand 2 - Shroud Exceptional Int

Honestly, though, if you don't raid much - it doesn't matter much. Keep your HP maxed, fortification 100%, make the Napkin a priority, and you are very much good to go. I'm also a fan of fitting in a Str item whenever possible so I can keep from getting my maneuvaribility hampered from carrying too much loot.
    sravana, kirtana, smarana, dasya, atma-nivedana
    ...NAMASTE...

I prefer delving boots over sp item. Sp item in goggles slot and gtr arcane lore on armor
If you want to know why...

Thanks for the end game list, but I didn't mean end game. My Wiz is only level 7. I was asking about gear from now to end game.

lore items as high as you can ie sup lore > lore

potency items as high as you can ie sup potency > improved potency, potency 4 > potency 3

con item (+3 or +4 rr)

    int item (see con)

pop or wizardry item as high as you can ie pop 9 > pop 7

ps: would be helpful if you stated your wiz is L7 in the OP as most people generally ask abt endgame

The highest Wizardry item you can find.

The highest Potency item you can find.

Same goes for con and int.

Slots will adjust accordingly to where you put said items.

Level 7 - the best "+ 4th level fire spells damage" item you can find - might be a Superior Combustion 4 scepter, or (at level 8) a Greater Potency 4 quarterstaff.

+HP items (both False Life and +Con)
    +Int items

And anything else really. Moderate or Heavy Fortification is great to have, but not crucial until level 11 or 12.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

POP is a Pearl of Power. It goes in your trinket slot. Wizardy/SP item.

Best lore items for each element (greater fire lore etc). Best potency item you can get. Some levels, you're going to want to get specific element items rather than just potency. You'll want a superior cumbustion IV item as soon as you can get it for firewall.

I had a +1 lore item (enchantment, necromancy, etc) for each spell type that mattered. Most of them were sceptres. You don't need abjuration or transmutation until higher levels - when you cast dismissal and flesh to stone. If you get conjuration and evocation on bracers, you can then wield a potency item and an elemental lore item in either hand. For example, I would cast Niac's with a potency scepter, a greater cold lore sceptre and conjuration bracers. For fireball, I used evocation bracers, a cumbustion scepter and a fire lore scepter. I

Other than that, it's the things most mid level people want. Anything to boost HP or saves +con +wis +dex +resistance. Remember persistant false life items stack with the spell. AC still matters at your level so dodge items help.

Some wands are good to stockpile - Stoneskin wands, higher level scorching ray wands, higher level resist wands.

And, of course, the usual stuff everyone wants around that level -
Feather Falling boots, Proof Against Poison item, Underwater Action, a Death Ward clickie if you can get it (Visor of the Flesh Render Guards, Tangleroot end reward), Deathblock & Fearsome robes, Lesser Restoration potions and/or clickie, wand of Remove Curse, Disease Immunity item (for mummies), can start looking for a Heavy Fortification item, but it will probably be at least a couple levels before you can use it....basic utility stuff.
