Slow, Stinking CLoud, Sleet Storm

Hello all of you Arcanists....I have a few questions regarding the spells in the title. I am an experienced caster but I really haven't used these spells.

1. Has anyone used these to any kind of efficiency at any level. My capped wiz doesn't use these and I am limited when it comes to being able to test them myself.

2. What are some appropriate places to use these...What are the effects of nausea from stinking cloud and do they follow you out of it....

3. I hate having sleet storm cast on me but do the mobs hate it when cast on them? Do I have to have freedom of movement to be able to use sleet storm effectively.

4. I hear that some people use grease in conjunction with FoM. Is sleet storm the same.

5. I figure with slow, that if they mobs are engaged with a melee, I can cast it at that point to slow them down.....is this what others have done?

Stinking Cloud is actually quite good. Although I almost never use it.

I did some experiments recently to see what kind of CC spells work on the Frost Giants.
And Stinking Cloud works! Although they do have extrememly high saves.
Cast at Shrine, Rednamed, and end fiight IMO.

Slow also works. But slow just doesn't seem worthwhile to me. Better to cast something else IMO.

Sleet Storm.
If everyone in your group has FoM this is a great sepll IMO. But since my Wiz cannot cast FoM...well.....I seldom use it.
Some groups like it for the Shroud prt 4. Usually moves the Pitfiend out of the middle so the blades don't converge in you and do less damage.

My Rgr7/Rog4/Wiz5 carries scrolls of Sleet Storm and had the Kundarek Boots (FoM).
I use them in DQ1 with a friends Rgr to help keep the DQ at bay and we range her.
I also use them occasionaly while soloing.

I've been sending my Wiz all the festival cakes w/FoM for the same reason.

I've heard that Sleet Storm shares the DC bug with Grease (save DC is always 12, no matter what it should be based on items/feats, etc.). This may be one reason it doesn't get used much (in addition to the annoyance factor, of course).
