Default Sorc Robes for Level 10

As a lvl 10 sorc, which robe would you suggest as a primary? I see the Ice Guard robes, but would they just cause critters to keep agro on me? The fearsome robes look more like what we would want to wear. Am I missing something?

I swap out between Fearsome or Deathblock depending on what I am doing.

if you are poor and dont have a pearl of power, then a magi robe for sp is a good way to go as you would still be able to use a lore scepter in one hand and a potency in the other).

You could also try the dragoncraft (Armor +4, Conjuration Focus, +75sp) or elfcraft robe (Armor+3, Evocation Focus, Arcane Lore, Minor Spell Pen VII) if you have some relics to burn (they are quite cheap on the AH on sarlona these days)

I personally hate fearsome (As will alot of your meleeing party members), and would only use it to solo.

    Smile Robes

    1. Deathblock robe, absolutely necessary

    2. Fearsome robe, some say annoying but can save your skin when soloing or in a party, not an absolute...make your own opinion

    3. Elf crafted robe, as mentioned by another poster is nice, has evocation focus which helps with firewalls and
also has spell pen as well as arcane lore to help with all spell crits (and you dont have to swap out what you carry in your hands). This requires 20 elven relics, which are not expensive on the auction house.

    4. Magi robe, or item, absolutely necesary

Basically, when my casters hit lvl 10 I give them the elf crafted item (docent, robe) to use to enhance spell crit chance as well as some spell pen and evocation focus. Do the same with my clerics, since the blade barrier spell is actually evocation school as well. Don't worry about AC, you will get hit anyway.

As far as a item drawing aggro, such as from a fire gaurd robe or other gaurd, well........., you are a sorc. If you are not drawing aggro at lvl 10 then you are not doing your job.
Cannith! Too many alts to list. Lorrtusk, Lorrtank (my main), Lorrgar, Jimipage, Taurnish, etc.

Actually that depends on how you play it. I have guildies who buff, haste and crowd control their way through stuff, never dealing a single point of damage. The melee's love it!

Solid Fog and Web both draw aggro (and a lot of it!). Don't know which other CC spells do as well.

[Edit] Oh! And I use Fearsome and Deathblock robes of whatever (usually look for some sort of fortification or false life until I find better items, like the Minos Legens). Currently trying to grind out the last 7 blue scales I need for the blue dragonscale robes, and then I'll have to find another source of Fearsome. Guess it's time to start in on the Eagle Claw necklace...

    Fearsome of Invulnerability
    Deathblock of Invulnerability
xxx Guard of Invulnerability (Acid/Fire/Lightning - Ice won't damage most undead)

switch robe/outfits depending on what's around.

    Fearsome for most living mobs
    Deathblock for beholders
xxxx Guard for undead and when you don't want the attacker to run off due to fearsome

Firewall has no SAVE thus evocation focus does nothing for it.... FireBALL would be helped by it But at level 10 I mostly nuked with no save spells Scorchign ray/Firewall/MM, migth have still had niack's ray BUT even then thats conjuration not evocation so no help there.

Not sayiogn the robe is bad just correctign that it does not help Firewall.

I vote heavy fortification, if you're not using nightforge gorget or a rr heavy fort item.

    4 Options IMO.

    In order.

    1) Elfcrafted w/ Mod Fort item untill 11.

    2) Antithesis if TN w/ Mod Fort item untill 11.

    3) Magi(100Sp, not named LotD Robe) w/ Mod Fort item untill 11.

    4) Heavy Fort if you cant afford the previously mentioned and/or you are not TN.

Elfcrafted is great and 20 elf relics are pretty cheap, I highly recommend
