    Lightbulb Bogenbroom's Wishlist fo DDO.

This is my all inclusive DDO wish list. Some ideas I've mentioned before, and some I know are not terribly popular. Ignore it if you like.

BTW, can anyone tell me how to make a *tab* in here? So I can get rid of my little black dots... PM me if you can, thanks.

    Hirelings

...Charmed Control Bar:It would be *great* if charmed/suggested creatures had a similar control bar to hirelings. . <mod> With the advent of Pink & Blue hats, it would be nice to see something like Pink Hat = Charm = no real control. Blue Hat = Suggestion = minimal control and control as a group (meaning one hireling like control bar controls all blue hats.) "Green Hat" = Dominate = hireling like control bar.
...Equipping your Hirelings:I would like to see a mech for donating items to your Hirelings. such as...
......Via the bank, a hireling slot
.........You can add to and destroy items but not recover those items.
.........Hirelings pick which items to use themselves.
...Henchman:I would love to see players have the ability to acquire henchmen, who operate like Hirelings, as described here. (Artificer Pet may be seen as a stepping stone to this.)

    Interface

    ...Social Interface:
......Contact List: Revamp the "Friend's List" into a "Contact List" as described here.
    ...LFM:
......Level Range: Please *require* people posting an LFM to manually enter a level range. Postings for groups of all levels annoy the beejeezus out of me.JOY! Addressed!
......Quest Name: Please *require* people posting an LFM to manually a enter quest. With F2P here now, a lot of filters are based on quest name, and the lack of their presence causes problems. Any fix here should include the listing of quest by chain and as well as name, should include adventure zones, and include PvP.
......Right click LFM: If trading & such on LFM is a no-no then please add a right click "report" option on the LFM menu.
......Alt character LFG: Revamp the LFG system to allow advertising of characters other than the one you are logged into, as described here.
......Quest completions records:A viewable record, anywhere, of our quest completion stats for each quest would be wonderful... including on what difficulties the quest has/has not been completed and the total number of completions. I would *love* to see this information also made available via mouse-over in the LFM interface.

    Spell Management

...Spellbook visibility:A way to view what spells you have in your spellbook when you have *not* reached a level high enough to cast those spells.
...Inscription error precedence:The "Spell already scribed" error should have higher precedence than the "you lack the inscription components" error. Why? If I have spell scroll for, say, Horrid Wilting, and I try to inscribe it, I get the "no inscriptions materials" error, then I go buy the material (not cheap) only to find out I already have it inscribed.
...Spellbook export:A way to export my spellbook to text. Why? I have 6 wizards, and I have a terrible time keeping track of who has which spells.

    Help System

...Automated responses:If would be nice if players with problems could get some quick automated feedback on help requests.
...ETA: It would be *wonderful* if there was a queue and ETA feedback for Help Requests. Type /helprequest and you see your request is # 5 at the moment, you can expect a GM in roughly 6 days That would give us an idea if we should wait for help or give up, abandon a run and try again.

    Raids

...Loot re-assignment: The ability to re-assign a piece of raid loot to another of your characters, to acquire only once they have completed the quest, would be nice. For example... My fighter finished Reaver and pulls the napkin. Obviously useless to him, so he re-assigns it to my Wizzy who can not get it until he completes Reaver. Possibly in place of an end reward and probably with a definite time limit.
...Single move loot option: Include an option in loot re-assignment to re-assign an item in a non-transferrable state... to address proxy rolling concerns.

    Crafting

...Crafting locations: Requiring crafting to be done during a quest is very disruptive and doesn't add anything. Please make all crafting stations available in public areas. Or maybe only available at completion.

    Mail

...Mail UI Improvements: Further develop the existing mail system as described here.

    End Rewards
...Priority Items:I would love to see a system where each character was able to identify a certain number of items as a reward priority. Then, when end rewards were generated, instead of generating the exact number we see in the box (for example 8,) some amount more are generated (say, for example 15) and only the first 8 appear in the choice box. However, if one of the 15 matches one of your priority items, it bumps one of the items in the choice box. Tie it to favor (say Free Agents) and allow miscellaneous item priority with no favor (say I want "hats.") With first tier you get a second choice for priority item, most likely armor/shields (say I want "breast plates.") Finally with second tier you get a third choice, for weapons. (say I want "war hammers.") Only base item types should be involved. Not enhancements or any such.

    Balancing:
...Weapon balancing:Weapon choice gets a bit monotonous. Certain weapons are just more powerful than others. I think it would be great if there was an advancement path to allow a character to improve the usefulness of generally weaker weapons. Either by feats or enhancements or both. Say, for example, I want to be a sickle expert. Maybe I need to take a Feat in sickle focus, and enhancements will allow me to improve the damage, crit range, and multipliers. Simpler weapons should be more expensive to improve, but offer much greater improvement range. The end goal is that my sickle wielder and my kopesh wielder can put out the same damage, but my Sickle wielder had to expend a lot of resources to get there.
...Armor balancing:See Weapon balancing above. Wouldn't it be nice to see folks wandering around town wearing banded or brigadine? Just to add a little variety.
...Dex Fighter balancing:For characters *without* monk levels, dex fighters do not hold up to str fighters. Logically it seems to me that a Str based fighter should have a much harder time hitting a target and do more damage, and a Dex fighter should hit much more frequently, and do less damage. It is too late in the game for that, so my wish would be that Dex fighters be given some sort of avenue (maybe an enhancement line) to allow their dex modifiers to by applied to damage. Maybe not even to 100%. 25/50/75 would help a great deal.

    Character-Selection:
...Multi-character LFG I would love to see LFG expanded to allow you to include multiple characters. I want to be able to say I am LFG with my lvl 7 Fighter, lvl 10 Cleric, and lvl 17 Rogue. And be able to list desired quests for each.
...Character Switching It would be really nice to be able to quick-switch characters, probably only from a tavern, So instead of logging out one character and logging in another, I could be on my rogue and have an option presented that says "switch to... Billy the Sorc, Wendell the Barb, etc."

    Improve multi-character upkeep tasks:
...Character Selection Screen Enhancements While some of these may impact the responsiveness of the interface, a second. off-shoot interface would be fine. You log in to the character screen and from there you are able to select a maintenance mode screen, for example.
......Mail Indicator It would be nice to be able to see which characters have mail from the selection screen.
......View Inventories One of the big time wasters is logging in and out of characters looking for an item (like, say, IQ shards.)
......Editing mode if you character is parked in some acceptable location (say an airship with a particular mod) then you could edit that character. Modify inventory, access mail, access bank, trade between characters in the "acceptable location" etc.

I'm definitely for these suggestions, especially henchmen and a charm control bar. I often find myself without anyone to play with when I log in, and when I do play, I spend most of my time making my enemies kill each other. Perhaps also adding an ability to add customization to the henchman NPC, like custom responses and a custom appearance, would also be a good thing.

Other than that, these are really good suggestions :3 Keep them coming.

now if they would add soloability to all the quest lvl 5 up would be great.... add the solo to quest choice... it disappears after lvl 5 .... I like to do bothm SOLO my number 1 choice, group for when I have the time to dedicate to it.... as is.... i have to quit playing once i hit lvl 5, cause I really don't have the time it takes to dedicate to a group without AFK'ing half the time, and I like this game... just wish they continued the solo trend upto cap...

So my wish would be for MORE SOLO CONTENT for the level5 range to cap.... thank you

I'd like to see being able to export User interface/colours bar positions etc and import for another character.

some good stuff and some meh but one I am a billion trillion percent against is

    Raids

...Loot re-assignment: The ability to re-assign a piece of raid loot to another of your characters, to acquire only once they have completed the quest, would be nice. For example... My fighter finished Reaver and pulls the napkin. Obviously useless to him, so he re-assigns it to my Wizzy who can not get it until he completes Reaver. Possibly in place of an end reward and probably with a definite time limit.

No one would ever share raid loot again and raids would slow down

the group thing would be good if it was looking TO group, not for group or for player.
merge the lfg/ lfp so if u and some one else are already in a group u can look in the same tab for groups of 4- and send a group request instead of waiting for 4 people, or disbanding and hoping u both get into the same group...but if they cant implement auction search i dont think they're going to redesign the group UI

Great ideas, especially the Wizard's staff ( I would add upgrading with Dragonshards to more fit with the lore of the world, plus give them additional uses) But, you're still a twi-tard, heheh
There is an "Alternate" Forum, PM Strakeln for details.

    Default Give me grapples

The thing I'd like to see the most in one of the next updates is adding grapple attacks. Making a grapple, with skill or strength checks to maintain it, escape one, and attack during one. Grappled mobs or characters would be held in place and unable to cast or attack unless a strength or concentration check were made. If the strength check were made the creature would gain control of the grapple and have the option of breaking it, attacking, ect. Spells that are verbal only could still be cast. Attacks would be at a slower rate than out of grapple, much like attacking while sneaking, since a full attack action can’t be taken in a grapple. Size bonuses would still apply so that foolish monks can't grapple well with giants or get swallowed by dragons when they try. The escape artist skill would be brought back into play for escaping from monsters who can grapple players, and it would allow for new monsters who are good at that such as assassin vines and tentacle beasts. It would also open up the way for new feats and enhancements for grappling such as ending a grapple with a throw that causes damage and leaves them prone.

I'd love to be able to grab a little wizard so that he can't cast sleet storm on my party and knock his block off or even grab a minotaur shaman and take a few hits to keep him from fire balling the party.

Some of the other things I'd like to see are reach weapons like spears, tridents, scythes, ect. As well as entangling weapons such as nets or bolas.

It would be cool if armor look were customizable.

Potion bags and wand/scroll cases would be cool for conserving extra space so that carrying an array of potions or scrolls around is more feasible.

As for classes, I'd love to see the dragon shaman. They rule.

I'd also like to see a prestige class for arcane casters besides necromancer. Something like elemental savant for those who want to focus on a specific element, or Master conjurer who could summon more than one creature at a time that are stronger than usual, if for a shorter time, or cast smaller creatures in little swarms.

A crawl skill would be nice that increases in speed with ranks. Why should I have to try and run past a head chopping trap after all? And having to crawl occasionally would also allow greater flexibility in making quests. An escape artist skill as well for escaping entanglement like webs or grapples as above would be cool too.

Some spells I’d like to see are enlarge and reduce person/monster, baleful polymorph, sanctuary, aversion/repulsion, resilient sphere,

I also think that monk combos need to be easier to use. This could be done by reducing the cool down time of individual monk moves as well as making the next strike after the 3rd strike of the combo (the one that gets it ready) an automatic finisher. Some people may not like the automatic style and may like to hold the finisher so it could be an active option like slow fall.

Finally, please make named items more special. What’s the point of a named item that is simply +1, or +2 flaming burst? The whole point of naming an item is giving it abilities that wouldn’t fit well into a regular item description. A good example of this is the Hammer of the Leaden clouds. A bad example is Kelmar’s Justice, which is actually just a +3 war hammer.

I read the whole list and I didn't see more content for levels 5 through 8 listed. How can you say that's not a need when it's all the devs ever talk about? Or hats. People always want more hats. Right? You can never have too many hats. Raids, now THOSE you can have too many of.
