Whats up with Icon of Khyber?

I'm still relatively new to the game and I've just begun, over the last month or so, to play the market with some of the collectables that I find that are used in rituals. The Icons of Khyber aren't used in any ritual (at least any that I find in the ingredients list posted on the Compendium and the forum lists) but for a while they were going for 6 figure gold. Now, nothing. Whats up with that?

Most people are selling and or hoarding collectibles due to the fact that they may be used in new rituals. That said, icons of khyber can be traded in for no level lesser reptilian bane weapons, which can be useful at lower levels due to ww/other quests with kobolds and trogs.

We got us a wee infestation of plat farmers here.... they will try and drive prices up and convince us thats what everyone is charging. Others players also just test out the market from time to time, that can also produce really high starting prices.

Thanks for the help! To be honest, without going out and getting lucky drops on the stuff that actually IS being used for rituals and getting decent prices for them, I'd still be in poverty. At least now I can buy some decent stuff to play with. Thanks again!

Heh, that was pretty much how I survived until I managed to get a character past level 12. Now I just loot in the Vale a lot >.>
