he, Salty, I let the guild knwo about your problem, I hope you can get back on soon for this weekend.

I have been searching the internet for the Cerificate error you received and I have basically found very little relating to anything that would be of help.

There was somebody else who had a certificate error but, he had a different error code then you did and he was more then likely infected with a trojan.

I think in your case its difinately the Router, blocking Secured sites. to test this after you made sure your infection free. go to a secured site that uses SSL/VPN. If you cant access any secured sites then most likely the Router is blocking them.

Ill keep looking for a solution and I hope you can get back on soon.

Reviving this because I have yet to get any help and I need my fix for DDO during these boring times.. I keep getting a access to the datacenter error when trying to launch.. As stated above it says something about a certificate error.. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this sounds like a laptop problem or a lan settings problem with the place I am at? I have tried numerous SSL/secure sites from this computer and can get there fine.. Just cant seem to log on to DDO =( any help would be greatly apprecaited!!!

What are the settings on your primary playing computer? If you are using a vista based system at home with DX 10 turned on, then the settings for your account can cause a conflict going from Vista back to XP.

Do you have .NET 1.1 and .NET 1.1 SP1 installed on your machine?

(Note that .NET 2.0 is not an upgrade for .NET 1.1, they are separate products.)

EDIT: You could also try updating your root certificates from Microsoft.

At the risk of saying the extremely obvious, have you tried contacting Turbine Technical Support?

Is it possible that your certificate has incorrect information, and deleting it will clear this up?

Clicking the link in the quote above takes you to a Turbine webtool description which seems to say that if you fail to give correct information you will fail to get a certificate, and if you fail to get a certificate you will not be allowed to log in.

I don't have Vista, and I couldn't find the certificate on my xp machine anyway. (probably in internet settings and I don't feel like looking through all that to see what I find) If you can't find it or don't want to look, you could try a re-install of the game and see if that helps any... but I don't know how much longer you're going to be away from home, so this may all be moot anyway.

Have you considered asking the IT guys at your company? Many IT guys are also computer gamers, and will be happy to help you fix it if it's fixable, and will tell you point-blank if there is a policy decision in your way.

Now I have a stupid question to ask, because I can access this page with no problems, until I change my date and Time to something other then the correct time and date. As soon as I change the date I can not access that page I get this Error "There is a problem with this website's security certificate".

when my date and time are correct I can access that page just fine.

Well I did change time zones to go on my business trip so I did specifically make sure that my XP time was changed.. far as I know my date/time is right on point with my iphone (looking at it right now)

Also as I said, I have been able to get on other HTTPS: sites that I know of. it is just this one in particular

Did you change the time, or just change the time zone?
